“As He went along, He saw a man blind from birth. His disciples asked Him, Rabbi, who sinned, this man or His parents, that he was born blind? Neither this man nor his parents sinned, said Jesus, but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. While I am in the world, I am the light of the world. After saying this, He spits on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. Go, He told him, wash in the Pool of Siloam. So the man went and washed, and came home seeing. His neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging asked, isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg? Some claimed that he was. Others said, no, he only looks like him. But he himself insisted I am the man. How then were your eyes opened? they asked. He replied; the man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see. Where is this man? they asked him. I don’t know, he said.” John 9:1-12

Sometimes things will happen to us individually or collectively or randomly in the world or in the lives of others that we will never be able to give adequate explanations; things will or has happened that the best of science, philosophical wisdom, knowledge, the medical and technological breakthroughs will never and has not been able to give us an acceptable explanation; things that the wisdom of education, medicine, philosophy, or and even foolishness of men will never or can never unveil. Things that beats the best of all our imaginations; things that destroy the best of our dreams, the best of our preparations in life, and sometimes things that leaves the best of us in disarray will just happen and we do not how to pray or confront it in, and with faith.

Not that we do not believe in God, accept and believe His promises or follow and obey all of His commands. Sometimes things will happen that leaves us thinking if we have fallen from grace, or out of His presence, or if we are failing in our prayers, or we are living with an unknown sin working inside and against us. I want you to set your mind straight on the words of Jesus Christ in John 9; how He answered the thoughts, imaginations, and questions of His disciple concerning the man who was born with blindness. Sometimes when certain things happen to us believers and followers fo Jesus Christ, there will be wild thoughts and imagination from within and without; there will be imaginations from people who know us as Christians and followers of Jesus Christ, there will be questions from them and sometimes judgments and condemnations also. But despite the thoughts of men and ours, despite the imaginations in our heart and from people around us; despite the questions we ask and the ones people will ask concerning what is happening to us and despite the judgment, the conclusions, and the condemnation, the God we serve through the love of Jesus Christ is still with us, He can change it, He will take the glory in us if we keep trusting Him.

Sometimes when God allows certain things to happen to you or to others, it may not be because of sin, or because you have associated yourself with a sinner, or presence of sin in you, or you are the worse of sinners, or the sin of your ancestors hurting you, or that of your parents seeking you out, or that of the environment around you as many may assume and conclude. Sometimes God allows it so He will take glory in you and through you. God will definitely take the glory in all His acts in your life irrespective of the condition and the situation. He will teach others using you or give some people a message through what is happening in your life.

When somethings happen sometimes, it does not mean God is absent, rejected you, or forgotten you. God’s love for you is not measured or affected by what is happening to you or happening in the world; God’s mercy is not controlled by the things happening; God's grace is not limited by what had happened. He is a loving, caring, and faithful Father all the time, and He is with you no matter what. He will show up in amazing ways, keep trusting Him. For prayers, Click here
