"LORD, MY CROSS WILL NOT BE IN VAIN"

Every Cross from our God comes with a mission, and no one assigned to carry it will do without a reward. God’s Cross will never be in vain; it comes with a definite message that must be heard, received and trusted; it comes with a reward for the one who carried the cross and gives the true message therein, and it comes with a reward also to those who will accept the message. By grace you have accepted the message of Christ birth, you have accepted the message of His Cross, and you have accepted the message of His death, you will not miss the message of His resurrection and the blessing that accompanies it. Christ Jesus carried His own Cross and received the reward of His acceptance. Your own Cross also is with significance, though it differs from that of Christ Jesus and from those carried by others, but it comes with a reward if you will carry it to the right place that God in His love had designated and at such a time that He alone will approve.

All Christians should note that God will not allow them to carry any Cross beyond the place He had designated and beyond the time He had assigned. Every Cross has a place and a time, at the right place and at the right time the Cross and its pains will seize and at the right time and place, the reward you deserve for being patient enough to carry the Cross will begin. It is the reward that will now bring the distinctions you have been craving for in your life and in your walk with the Lord. When the Cross that Christ Jesus ended, these were His immediate reward: “I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else, not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.” Ephesians 1:19-23.

The reward of the Cross to us is that the Church was thereafter made perfect; our salvation was thereafter made perfect, solid and secured; our hope renewed and made firmed and His promises proven to be true and possible; we were made able and capable of standing upright, to recover from the consequences of our past sins and that our ancestors, to overcome the effects of our mistakes, and misfortunes. Your own Cross will definitely not be in vain. The true purpose of that Cross you are carrying is to reform and transform your life; to enable your spiritual and physical life to achieve something better and greater; that Cross will bring you out and up from every dungeon of captivity that you have known and the ones you have not known; it will transform you and position you thereafter in place far better than you can ask or dream before the Cross.

I know the cross is heavy, but do not look at it as a punishment by God. God will not give you a Cross too heavy or the one you cannot carry; He will not give you a Cross without value, without a message, without a mission, and without a reward. The Cross of Jesus Christ brought an end to the dominance power of sin and wickedness on all believers and followers: the Cross brought an unmerited forgiveness to the ardent sinners who sincerely acknowledges and confesses their sins before God; the Cross of Jesus Christ break the cycle of bondage that we were subjected to by evil covenants instituted against us; the Cross of Christ established a new covenant of hope; the Cross of Jesus Christ thoughts us patience and love, submissiveness and sacrifice. “But Christ has rescued us from the curse pronounced by the law. When he was hung on the cross, he took upon himself the curse for our wrongdoing.” Galatians 2:13. What is the curse or the law still standing against you? By the power of the Cross, that curse is broken and the law abolished. His Cross was not in vain, your cross will not be in vain; He benefited in the Cross, you will benefit also in the Cross; He was rewarded, you will also be rewarded. For Prayers Click here
