"GRACE TURNED HIM AROUND FOREVER"

Through Paul’s personal decision, he went after the church with the aim of destroying it, he went after the believers with the aim of stopping them and changing them from believing Christ Jesus, he went after the apostles of Jesus with the aim of destroying them, stopping them, putting them in prison and forcing them to denounce Christ Jesus openly and retain their lives or confess Him before the people and die. In his eyes and to the admiration of his followers, he was doing what was right, he was successful, he was making progress and achieving their expected results, but unknown to him was the fact that the church of Jesus Christ cannot be destroyed despite all kinds of persecutions, Christianity cannot be stopped despite being infiltrated by the enemies of Christ, the apostles will not give up their calls and faith and will not bow to his intimidation, and Paul did not know that what God started cannot be stopped or destroyed and that God was watching him and had better plans for him. When God’s grace caught up with him, he gave this confession with thanks and appreciation: “I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has granted me the needed strength and made me able for this, because He considered me faithful and trustworthy, putting me into service for this ministry, even though I was formerly a blasphemer of our Lord and a persecutor of His church and a shameful and outrageous and violent aggressor toward believers. Yet I was shown mercy because I acted out of ignorance in unbelief. The grace of our Lord, His amazing, unmerited favor and blessing flowed out in superabundance for me, together with the faith and love which are realized in Christ Jesus. This is a faithful and trustworthy statement, deserving full acceptance and approval, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost. Yet for this reason, I found mercy, so that in me as the foremost of sinners, Jesus Christ might demonstrate His perfect patience as an example or pattern for those who would believe in Him for eternal life. Now to the King of the ages eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen” 1 Timothy 1:12-17.

Apostle Paul received grace, experienced grace, enjoyed grace, benefit in grace and excelled in grace beyond his education, his expectations, and his observers. God’s grace is immeasurable by all standards and the benefits of grace can never be quantified by wealth or anything else. Through God’s grace, Paul was saved, through God’s grace Paul became a believer in Jesus Christ and accepted Him as his Lord; through grace, Paul became a mister of the same gospel he wanted to destroy, and through grace, he became an apostle of Jesus Christ. Paul’s excellence in ministry and his successes were the results of the working of God’s grace, not desires, not education, and not a profession. Having good desires, education and being a professional is good and accepted before God and man, but they can never take the place of grace or produce the same result. Grace takes a person far beyond the level of desires and the things desired irrespective of profession, knowledge, education, wisdom and wealth. Nothing can be compared to the results you will ever produce through God’s grace. God’s grace works to produce amazing results both in the physical and in the spiritual that delights God and amazes men and leaves them wondering how you did it when you began, and where you got the idea.

Grace turned Paul around forever for good. Paul said grace gave him needed strength, made him to things; through grace, he maintained his faithfulness in Christ and became trustworthy; through grace, God put him in the ministry to be his minister of the gospel; through grace his character changed, his understanding changed and his actions changed. A former blasphemer of Christ Jesus, a former persecutor of the church became God instrument for the church and Christianity, a former shameful and outrageous and violent aggressor toward believers became a peaceful encourager and great supporter of the believers. Grace turned him from being an unbeliever to a true believer, and through grace he found mercy and power to be very successful. For prayers Click here
