DO NOT WAIT TOO LONG OH LORD

Jeremiah 1:12 “Then said the Lord unto me, thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.” Yes, you rightly heard the words of the promises of God to you; yes, you rightly believed in the Lord Jesus Christ; yes, you did the right thing by following and trusting in Him; yes, you are on the right path and there is no condemnation that will succeed against you; yes, the words of God that you believe is true; yes, God is quite able to fulfill all of His words to you irrespective of the delays in time, delays by the seasons, delays by your physical location and delays caused by unforeseen circumstances.

When the Lord finished telling Jeremiah of His purpose and will for his life before he was born, He told him that He will hasten and fulfill them. He promised to quicken the fulfillment of those words, the things that God had promised you will be fulfilled, the promises are still very effective in your life, and nothing will stop them. The words came because of His love to you, and they will be fulfilled through His love.

Delays will not stop God from fulfilling His words of promises. Your age and your location is no hindrance to that which the Lord in His love had promised to do for you. The resistance from the pit of hell is no match when it stands to stop your God, the lack of favor from men and all forms of ill luck; mistreatment, human anger and abuses are nothing when they stand against God’s promises in your life. Ancestral wickedness and that from friends and foes around you will not stop your day of fulfillment from coming.

The God who promised Abraham and Sarah and fulfilled them will also fulfill yours. Just like you, Abraham and Sarah believed the words and waited and saw them fulfilled. “The Lord kept his word and did for Sarah exactly what he had promised. She became pregnant, and she gave birth to a son for Abraham in his old age. This happened at just the time God had said it would. And Abraham named their son Isaac. Eight days after Isaac was born, Abraham circumcised him as God had commanded. Abraham was 100 years old when Isaac was born. And Sarah declared, God has brought me laughter. All who hear about this will laugh with me. Who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse a baby? Yet I have given Abraham a son in his old age. When Isaac grew up and was about to be weaned, Abraham prepared a huge feast to celebrate the occasion.” Genesis 21:1-8

What you have to do today is to ask God not to delay the fulfillment of the promises. You have to ask God that He will not wait until you become old before you see them and enjoy them in your life. ask God not too wait until you become old before giving you your spouse, giving you children, before giving you a home, before giving you a good home. Ask God not too long before you are properly engaged in marriage.

Ask God that He will not wait until you are naked before giving you cloths; He will not to wait until you are too cold before giving you heat, He will not wait until you are completely declared a failure and totally discouraged before giving you the success you have been praying, waiting and desiring in the things you do, in your home, in your marriage, and in your walk with Him.

Ask God that He should not wait until you are sent out, rejected and your goods confiscated by the wicked before providing you a comfortable shelter. Ask God not to wait until your children are imprisoned and destroyed before sending deliverance and help to them. Ask God not to wait until you cry like Hannah before giving you Samuel as a child of promise. Pray and ask God your God, do not wait too long before coming to your help. For prayers, Click here
