TESTED AND TRUSTED

“And the angel of the Lord called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;  And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice”. Genesis 22:15-18

You can unlock your heavens of blessing or close it permanently by the test you are passing through right now in your life, family, finance, workplace, marriage, relationship and ministry. No one in history had ever been comfortable with any form of test, be it physical or spiritual, but test are very necessary for your advancement to the next level in life in all things.

When God permits any test in your life, it is not to make you a failure but to prove you are worthy for the nest higher level of life. It also proves your trustworthiness. Without a test, you cannot prove your ability to handle what is coming your way. The devil does not test you; he tempts you with the intent of destroying you. The only reason he does that is to drag you to sin and hinder your coming blessing from God. There are many believers who have erroneously turned a test into a temptation. I want you to brace up. You can overcome every temptation with God and you can pass every test with determination. “If you think you are strong, be careful not to fall. The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, He will show you a way out so that you can endure” 1 Corinthians 10:12-13 (NLT). Don’t turn your situation into an idol to worship and cry over every day. God is willing to show you the way out, wait on Him irrespective of the number of years it takes you to find such a way.

Our God does not gamble in anything and will not gamble over your life and situation. He does not want you to gamble over your relationship with Him and with others. A good and acceptable relationship with God and man is always very profitable.

Abraham did not gamble over the test he was called upon to undertake. In absolute obedience, he went all out to fulfill it despite the fears and thoughts of losing his only true and covenanted son. When he passed the test, God opened an unending door with an amazing promise; (In blessing I will bless thee, in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice) That was real.

Abraham handled the test that brought open the door to him with great determination, trust and believe. How are you handling yours today? God will not commit anything into your care if He does not trust you, and before He trust you, He will test you, and before He commits the true blessing into your hands, you must pass the test. Abraham did and you can also.

Can God trust you on your prayer request? Give yourself a test today about you trustworthiness to man first and then to God. If you cannot trust yourself in believe and commitment to God, you will not be trusted by God. You cannot gamble with God. The trust always begins with a test.

“If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities. And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with true riches? And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own? Luke 16:10-12 (NLT)
