The cross is painfully hard to endure in human flesh without the total its regeneration by the word, the spirit and the grace from God our Father above; it is painfully hard to accept the cross without first trusting that the promises of God will be fulfilled despite all the delays, the denials, frustrations and discouragement you will ever experience. It is painfully hard to understand and know the values of the cross without the salvation of your soul and without the surrendering of your will for the will of God. Despite the pains, sorrows, humiliations and the shame associated with the cross you are called to carry and that which you are currently carrying; despite the days or years you have been carrying this cross; despite all the human, physical, spiritual and financial cost expended by you in doing so, there are definitely certain height in your life, certain level in your marriage, certain position in your finance, certain security in your job, certain breakthrough in your profession, certain level of anointing in your ministry and certain assurances in your relationship that you will never be able to attain without having decided to carry that cross. Despite the very best of all your dreams, all your visions, all your best desires, the power and the reward of the cross can never and should never be ignored. Despite all your knowledge in and of the scriptures, all your acceptable and glorious charitable works, all your love to humanity and all your sacrifices in life, the place of the cross you are called to carry can never be undermined and will never be ignored by God. Remember, despite all that Jesus Christ did on earth; despite all His good works, submission to the father’s will and acceptance to obey all the Father had asked Him to do, the journey to the cross was not cancelled, the pains on the cross was not taken away; the humiliation on the cross and the shame were not taken away; despite His prayer that the cross be taken away from Him, God the Father Almighty still thought it wise and necessary for Him to go to that cross, because the glory that waits Him cannot be given without having the experience on the cross.

You cannot circumvent the cross if you desire the reward and the blessings it will bring into your life, job and family thereafter. You cannot circumvent the cross if you desire to be fulfilled in life as a believing Christian and to make an effective impart in the ministry that Christ had given to you; you cannot circumvent the cross if you truly desire the will of God to be done in your life and be what said of you, Christ Jesus asked for the cross to be taken away despite desiring the destiny of God for His life; God said no; He will say so to you today if you want to circumvent the cross.

“See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception intellectual babble according to the tradition and musings of mere men, following the elementary principles of this world, rather than following the truth teachings of Christ. For in Him all the fullness of Deity, the Godhead dwells in bodily form completely expressing the divine essence of God. And in Him you have been made complete, achieving spiritual stature through Christ, and He is the head over all rule and authority of every angelic and earthly power. In Him you were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, but by the spiritual circumcision of Christ in the stripping off of the body of the flesh, the sinful carnal nature, having been buried with Him in baptism and raised with Him to a new life through your faith in the working of God, as displayed when He raised Christ from the dead. When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, worldliness, manner of life, God made you alive together with Christ, having freely forgiven us all our sins, having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of legal demands which were in force against us and which were hostile to us. And this certificate He has set aside and completely removed by nailing it to the cross. When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities those supernatural forces of evil operating against us, He made a public example of them exhibiting them as captives in His triumphal procession, having triumphed over them through the cross.” Colossians 2:8-15.
