Not any other Cross, not the crosses of men, not the crosses in the churches, not the crosses you see hanging anywhere else, not the crosses in our homes or the crosses we hang on our necks or tie on our wrist; not the crosses we carry on our wallets and pockets; not the crosses we place on our bibles or books, but the true Cross, the one that Jesus Christ our Lord was hanged, the one that He bleeds and died, the one that He paid the ultimate price for all of our sins; the one He was hanged on to take the punishment that was due to our sins, the Cross that offered all humanity in all nations irrespective of language, name, age, and race the freedom from the consequences of sin, the power of sin, and any form of condemnation by Satan and his cohorts.

On that Cross, a price that was necessary and demanded was fully paid; the penalty was fully taken away; all captives who had believed and will believe in Christ Jesus were set free; those who believe in the power of the cross will obtain mercy, freedom, and be completely freed from whatever had been affecting and afflicting them, be it health, finances, fear, sickness, loneliness, or anything that is contrary to the will and plans and desires of God.

Believing in Jesus Christ opens the door for repentance, forgiveness, and to know the Father and become sons and daughters of the AlmightyGod, while the power of the Cross of Jesus Christ opens the door for His believers and followers to see God, to obtain grace and mercy over all things from Him. The power of the Cross is the power given to believers to stand up against the devil in confidence, in faith, and through His word. on the Cross, God the Father was revealed in human form; on the Cross Jesus Christ, the Son of God was revealed as true, and on the Cross, God the Holy Spirit was revealed as real, all of them came together to make all believers and followers of Christ Jesus the Christians that we are today. “For God was pleased to have all His fullness dwell in Him, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through His blood, shed on the Cross.” Colossians 1:19-20

God our Father was please with Jesus Christ. He was pleased by His Cross, He was pleased by the suffering on the Cross, He was pleased by the results of His suffering, the victory and the grace given to be totally forgiven and fully restored unto Him, and God the Father is pleased that we are called the children of God, the believers and the followers of Jesus Christ. He is pleased that we put our faith and our trust in Him and He is pleased to bless us through Jesus Christ.

While Christ was on the Cross; “When they hurled their insults at Him, He did not retaliate; when He suffered, He made no threats. Instead, He entrusted Himself to Him who judges justly. He Himself bore our sins in His body on the Cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; by His wounds, you have been healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.” 1 Peter 2:23-25

Apostle Paul made many profound statements in the scriptures concerning the Cross. “When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; He has taken it away, nailing it to the Cross. And having disarmed the powers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the Cross. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness, but unto us which are saved, it is the power of God. But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.” Colossians 2:13-15, 1 Corinthians 1:18; Galatians 6:14. The cross of Christ is the center of salvation and Christianity. It is the crucial point of faith, the place of convergence of belief and faith where everything about the gospel comes together. The Christian faith is all about confidence in the word of God and confidence in the power of the Cross of Jesus Christ. For prayers, Click here
