DID YOU KNOW YOU WILL RECEIVE THEM?”

Did you know Jesus Christ our Lord was disappointed yet never gave up hope and never allowed that disappointment to stop Him from speaking and trusting the word of God in His mouth and from His heart? He never even allowed what He saw to affect His words, His desires, His trust, and His mission. He did not allow His disappointment to affect the morals of His disciples and those who were following Him. Do not allow your disappointments in life in any way to affect your relationship with your spouse, your children, your family, your colleagues, your words of faith, your hope in the future and the mission that God had called you to accomplish on earth, despite those disappointments, God will answer you, He will show you His miracles, He will grant you His peace even in your disappointment and He will give you that which you ask from Him with faith in His word.

One early morning while on a mission with His disciples, our Lord Jesus Christ was hungry and desired something to eat; on seeing a fig tree that looked beautiful enough to have fruits and provide the meal He desired, but He was disappointed on getting there. His expectation from the tree did not meet His desire; disappointed, He spoke a word of faith against the tree of disappointment to the hearing of all his disciples and those with Him that faithful morning; the following day, to the amazement of the disciples, the tree of disappointment was dead and Jesus Christ was still able to accomplish His mission and did eat somewhere else. The reaction to your disappointment can affect your expectations in the future; can affect the things you trust for in life; can affect all the things you asked God and had been waiting for; can affect your relationship with God, with man, children, marriage and children, and that is what the devil wants, but God will not allow that. Though disappointed, you will receive what you have asked for in this life.

“Now early in the morning, as Jesus was coming back to the city, He was hungry. Seeing a lone fig tree at the roadside, He went to it and found nothing but leaves on it; and He said to it, never again will fruit come from you. And at once the fig tree withered. When the disciples saw it, they were astonished and asked how is it that the fig tree has withered away all at once? Jesus replied to them, I assure you and most solemnly say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt or allow yourself to be drawn in two directions, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.  And whatever you ask for in prayer, believing, you will receive.” Matthew 22:18-22

Being disappointed is not the end of what you have asked; it is not the end of your expectations; not the end of good things to come; not the end of your best efforts in life; not the end of hope; not the end of new dreams and new visions; not the end of being your best and never the end of your future in and with Christ Jesus. Many people have been disappointed in their lives and still come up again to have the expected victory in that which they were disappointed, still have their expectations fulfilled and still received the desires of their heart as it was before they were disappointed. There is every possibility for a better life just beyond being disappointed in any of the situations that you have been so sad because of that disappointment. Being frustrated should not make you give with a dream, a vision and a desire; it should not make you give up what you have been asking and expecting from God; should not make you to forget the renewed blessings in the mercies of God and changing power of God’s forgiveness and His amazing love for you; it should never make you to forget that there is always a future and a hope in Christ Jesus; it should not hold you back from trying that same thing over and over again; it should not make you believe the words of the devil against you and against your God; it should not make you think you will be stocked in your mistakes and failure forever and it should not make you trust in things that God had not approved as excellent for you. There is every possibility for a better life just beyond being frustrated. God will surely enable you to receive what you have asked. Click here to submit prayer request
