WHAT YOU ARE NOW IS NOT ENOUGH TO STOP GOD

Oppositions are real but they cannot stop God; wickedness and wicked men may increase but they cannot stop God; disappointment and discouragement will rise, that also cannot stop God; you may fail several times over, be denied of the basic things in life; be sick and orphaned; you may be rejected and humiliated, but that cannot stop God. You may have no reliable friends and be very lonely, you may be bereaved or very poor and having nothing to be proud of in life, but that cannot stop God. You may not be able to stand among your equals or support yourself, your family, children, spouse, or even yourself, but that also cannot stop God. You may be living in a very remote area of the world with no facility to aid you and your dreams, that cannot stop God; you may be badly located in a place where oppression to anything Godly is their hallmark, that will not stop God; you may be heavily depressed, underused or overused by men, yet that also cannot stop God; your gift and talent may be dying fast, that also cannot stop God; you may be dwelling among wolves and lions in human flesh, they will not stop God; you may not be able to be and to practice the profession of your dream, vision and desires despite your efforts and years of training, education, prayers, fasting and waiting on the Lord, that will not stop your God. The abuses and shame from parents, family members, spouse, children, friends, bosses, neighbors, foes, colleagues and even that from the workplace cannot stop God.

The unbelief of your friends, parents, spouse, colleagues, and children cannot stop your believe in the effectiveness of the supernatural power of your God. The unbelief of the children of Israel and most of the elders did not stop Moses from believing God, from speaking the word of God, from confronting Pharaoh did not stop Him from leading Israel out of the Egypt. The Red Sea, the wilderness, the wall of Jericho, the river of Jericho, the seven nations and their strong armies, the biting by the serpents in the wilderness, the thirst for water and that of choice food did not stop God from taking the children of Israel to the Promised Land. The conspiracy of Balaam and Balak did not stop God from protecting the Children of Israel; the revolt in the camp of Israel did not stop from distinguishing Moses from even the sister and the people in the camp.

Being an orphan did not stop God from using Esther for His purpose; being the queen was not a hindrance to God’s plans; Esther being taken care of by a jobless, sick and helpless uncle did not stop God from fulfilling His plans, His will and His purpose for her life. Mordecai being jobless, sick, poor, and helpless did not stop God from using him for Esther and the Jews in his time. The bad name given to Jabez at birth due to his physical situation did not stop God from hearing his prayers and changing his life as he asked for; the disappointment in the life of Peter after having a night of fruitless toil did not stop Christ from taking him as one of His disciples; the wickedness of Saul against the disciples and the church did not stop God from changing him, changing his name and using him for His work to the nations; the delays in the lives of Sarah, Hannah, and Elizabeth, the problem between Mary and Joseph did not stop God from doing what He wanted and had promised to do in their lives.

“Remember this and so show yourselves men; bring it again to mind, O ye transgressors. Remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me. Declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, my counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure. Calling a ravenous bird from the east, the man that executed my counsel from a far country; yea, I have spoken it, I will also bring it to pass; I have purposed it, I will also do it. Hearken unto me, ye stout hearted, that are far from righteousness. I bring my righteousness; it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not tarry; and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.” Isaiah 46:9-13. Click here for prayer
