“WHERE IS SIN IN MY LIFE OH LORD? (3)

Post date: Mar 18, 2021 11:20:12 PM

Sin is wicked, its consequences are severe and God does not want us to suffer them in any way and does not want us to continue in them. While Christ calls on all sinners to repentance, He also calls all His believers to obedience. Standing before God with an unrepented sin will not bring us into the blessing He had promised and will do us no good. Praying against Satan and against sin without the willingness to stand up and resist them in our lives will not give us the victory we ask for in our prayers and will do us no good. Going before the Almighty God with the rewards of sin in our hands as offering or as a seed sacrifice or peace or covenant contact offering will do us no good irrespective of our religious titles and offices. Withholding your dues from God in any form because of sin or weakness or failure will not do us any good. God wants to shake off all the shackles that hinder our lives and progress. He wants o take us to the next level of His promises and rewards. He wants to open them wide enough for us to inherit His blessings.

In willing to restore Israel, God revealed the sins and the wrong things they were doing; “If the Lord Almighty had not stepped in to save a few of us, we would have been wiped out as Sodom and Gomorrah were. Listen, you leaders of Israel, you men of Sodom and Gomorrah, as I call you now. Listen to the Lord. Hear what He is telling you. I am sick of your sacrifices. Don’t bring me any more of them. I don’t want your fat rams; I don’t want to see the blood from your offerings. Who wants your sacrifices when you have no sorrow for your sins? The incense you bring me is a stench in my nostrils. Your holy celebrations of the new moon and the Sabbath, and your special days for fasting, even your most pious meetings all are frauds. I want nothing more to do with them. I hate them all; I can’t stand the sight of them. From now on, when you pray with your hands stretched out to heaven, I won’t look or listen. Even though you make many prayers, I will not hear, for your hands are those of murderers; they are covered with the blood of your innocent victims.” Isaiah 1:9-15.

By revealing our sins to us and not to others, God does not want to punish us but to rescue and bless us; He wants to prevent Satan and the wicked from having victory over us; He wants to prevent us from the pitfall that others are in, and He wants us to remain His loving children till Christ comes. He does not only reveal our sins, but He also shows us the way out as He did with the children of Israel. He told them “Come, let’s talk this over, says the Lord; no matter how deep the stain of your sins, I can take it out and make you as clean as freshly fallen snow. Even if you are stained as red as crimson, I can make you white as wool. If you will only let me help you, if you will only obey, then I will make you rich. But if you keep on turning your backs and refusing to listen to me, you will be killed by your enemies; I, the Lord, have spoken. Jerusalem, once a faithful wife, and now a prostitute, running after other gods. Once The City of Fair Play, but now a gang of murderers. Once like sterling silver; now mixed with worthless alloy. Once so pure, but now diluted like watered-down wine. Your leaders are rebels, companions of thieves; all of them take bribes and won’t defend the widows and orphans. Therefore the Lord, the Mighty One of Israel, says, I will pour out my anger on you, my enemies. I myself will melt you in a smelting pot and skim off your slag. And afterward, I will give you good judges and wise counselors like those you used to have. Then your city shall again be called The City of Justice and The Faithful Town.” Isaiah 1:18-26

“If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.” Isaiah 1:19. God wants all of us to listen, to hear, and to obey His word. When He reveals your sins to you, don’t ignore them, don’t push the day of repentance forward, and don’t blame what He reveals on anyone or anything else. He wants to cleanse you so you will be blessed by Him. He wants to wash you so He could use you for His glory and He wants to keep you in favor at all times. For prayers, Click here
