DEAR LORD, I FEEL LIKE QUITTING

Post date: Jul 24, 2015 1:09:29 AM

You are never alone in this type of feelings and thoughts irrespective of what drives it in your heart daily, but despite all the feelings and thoughts, the knowledge, the thoughts, the desires, the word and the blessings of God for your life is far more powerful than your thoughts and feelings in that very situation. Christians should know that knowledge alone will never win the battle in any competition and we are in a very competitive world; wisdom alone is never enough when the enemies are in their rage against what God had destined for your life, this is so because children of this world who have refused to be regenerated by the powers of the gospel of Jesus Christ are in their ways very wise in their acts of wickedness; impeccable ability and strength in actions are always wanting when the task at hand are very heavy and the demand too enormous for us to handle. It is a fact that we are always wanting, always deficient and always in need of several life changing things. It is also a fact that despite our being in wants, facing numerous life challenges and being deficient in many things and despite the numerous sweet dreams and promises that we hold so dearly to, our God is always with us to supply that we might need at the right time and in the right place. “So be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you. Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” Deuteronomy 31:6, 8

After trying all you have ever known and read in the books through personal education, through revelations, dreams and visions; after subjecting yourself to doing all you have ever been told by parents, colleagues, family, and wise counselors; after acknowledging and confessing numerous sins you never even committed or have no knowledge of; after praying and long fasting, praising and worshiping God daily; after changing churches and changing names, after changing location and professions; after changing methods and relationship, with the intent that things will change and yet things are never near what you ever desired and the next is you contemplating quitting the wait because of the failures. You may have the right feelings and thoughts but this not a matter of feelings, it is matter of holding strongly on the words of God. He is saying never allow any of your feelings to deviate you from following His words and never allow any of your thoughts to stop you from believing and following his words.

Your expected reward may be delayed but it will surely come, God had not forgotten any of your dreams and desires. The result may be denied but it shall surely be granted to you because God will make them to remember you soon. You may have been frustrated several times over, but you will also be comforted without measure very soon. You may have been abused but you will soon be celebrated through the powers of the living God. Definitely there are no alternatives to living the life that God had destined and there are no ways of quitting after being saved from sins and the things that had been designed against you by the wickedness from hell; after waiting and praying this long; after suffering this much from things you know and the ones you do not know; after being washed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ and after trusting God this long, the only thing waiting to happen to you is to receive the blessing, to earn the reward to celebrate your life and to praise your God.

Before you quit, consider what God said to Jeremiah: “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations. O Sovereign Lord, I said, I can’t speak for you, I’m too young. The Lord replied, don’t say, I’m too young, for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. And don’t be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken.” Jeremiah 1:4-8. For prayers, Click here For 2015 Praise and worship songs Click Here
