“And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice. If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people; If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments; Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel. 2 Chronicle 7:12-14, 17-8

We read in the passage above how God appeared to Solomon after a prayer and assured him of answer with five pointers to walking in the will of God; they must be people called and known by His name, humble, must pray, must turn away from wicked ways, and must seek His face, God also pointed out David’s example.

Many people are seeking the will of God for their lives with the intent of having the comfort the desire. The truth is that the will of God for every believer is far beyond immediate satisfaction, comfort, joy and victory. God’s will always come with a long term effect on individuals involved with the intent that others will see, know, accept and follow the Christ who dwells in us

God does not only want us to do His will in order to receive the fullness of the promised blessing, He also desires to fulfill His own part of the will in us so His glory may be seen on earth.

His will are based on His laws and not on our wishes, ideas, thoughts, experience and human understanding. His will are based only on His overall expectation and program for us.

The evil side of the opinions of men in doing the will of God is always seeking the easy way out. The will of God involves confronting the hard things in life with God’s precepts and laws and expecting the victory therein.

While we desire to know His will in order to fulfill them, He has already mapped out the ways in His precepts and laws; a diligent commitment to following His precepts and laws will automatically place us on the road to fulfilling His will for our lives. Where conflict exists, ignore the thoughts, fear and opinions of man and follow His word.

There are many people who are confused to what the will of God is for them. You can overcome those confusions by removing what your thoughts and fears are.

His first will is that all human being will come to know and follow Christ Jesus. It is not only God’s will to bless us; it is His will to also establish us.  It is not only His will to establish us; it is also His will to use us. It is not only God’s will to use us; it is also His will that we be preserved and bears fruits that will endure the test of time and the temptation of the devil.

Did you know that it was God’s will that Christ should suffer on the cross for all of us? While Christ accepted it, God the Father also ensured that Christ was not abandoned on the cross and the grave forever.

Whatever you are going through, once you place your steps on the road to fulfilling God’s will, know that hell will rise against you, but  God will also ensure you have the victory that will establish His glory in you by following the five pointers He gave to Solomon.  With Christ you are assured to have the victory. He cannot keep silence forever. “I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart” David said in Psalms 40:8.
