ACCORDING TO THE WORDS OF ELISHA (4)

True salvation is followed by true repentance. Salvation is a call to serve the Lord Jesus Christ in truth with all your strength and might, it is a call to be united with the king of Kings and the Lord of Lords of both the heavens and the earth. It is a call to follow Christ Jesus and not man, a call to believe Him and trust Him in all things irrespective of the prevailing circumstances. A call to have a lively hope and a living assurance of a future that only the divine Lord can and will make possible; a call to expect a change despite the challenges, the humiliations, shame, and rejection by men. It is a call to share in the divine nature of God on earth. Forgiveness, repentance, salvation, and blessings are four things that cannot be separated by any form of adversity, they are divinely connected.

Has God given you salvation? Then He has delivered you from the hands of Satan and from all the controlling forces, powers, and effects of past sins and the destruction they carry. If God saved you, then He can use you. If He calls you, then He will use you. If He forgives you, then He wants you to remain clean, remain in Him, and remain a useful person in His plans. “Yes, I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. Anyone who does not remain in me is thrown away like a useless branch and withers. Such branches are gathered into a pile to be burned. But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted. When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.” John 15:5-8. The ultimate here is remaining in Him and in His words despite your feelings, desires, and the words of men.

Elisha the servant of Elijah was mighty in deeds according to the plans of God. He was faithful to his master Elijah, he followed him, observed him and copied from him. Elisha knew God by the things he saw through Elijah. He heard Elijah speak the words of God, he saw the words spoken by Elijah came to pass, and he trusted in the God of Elijah, and after the passing on of Elijah, Elisha started doing the same things that Elijah did. Speaking the word of God, declaring the mind of Christ to all situations, and watching in faith as the words come to pass. Jesus said greater works shall you do. Elisha spoke the words of God to situations and they changed, He trusted God and God proved Himself and confirm His words. I want to assure you that despite what you are going through right now, nothing on earth is above the word of God, nothing can stand against it, nothing is as powerful, nothing has been proven to be stronger, and nothing has been made or given to men that will replace God’s words on earth or in heaven. When we speak the word of God in faith and with the power of the Holy Spirit of God in us, we can be assured of its power to bring results, to change situations, to bless our lives, and bless others.

By using the words of God and speaking the mind of Christ, Elisha spoke to the king to the hearing of the people about what God will do in time of famine and it came to pass according to all the words of Elisha; the people saw it and rejoiced in it because a time of famine was turned to a time of surplus. When Elisha and his servant were surrounded by the armies sent by the king to arrest them, the servant saw the armed men and panicked, but Elisha saw the armed angels sent by God to keep them safe and rejoiced. He later prayed God to open the eyes of the servant to see what he saw, and when God opened his eyes, he saw that those sent by God to defend and keep them were more in number than those sent to arrest them and rejoiced. It all happened according to the words of God spoken by Elisha.

There is no situation in the life of anyone that had not been fully addressed by the word of God; no situation on earth that escapes His eyes and His words. In all situations, God speaks before they happen, speaks as they are happening, and also speaks to advance or stop them. He has the absolute power to do whatever He wants, and what He does will surely advance His purpose and bring blessings to His children, the redeemed by the Blood of Jesus Christ.
