What is it that had been holding you captive these years? What are the reasons for such actions? What is the power behind their success? How true are their words affecting you? You have been held captive in bitterness and in anger because of your situation and God is calling you today to cease from anger because it is not paying you anything good; He is asking that you replace that anger with His joy; He is asking you to refrain your thoughts from what had passed because they are robbing your future; through grace and power in the name of Jesus Christ, you are going beyond the actions and effects of the things that had keep you in that captivity. Many today are in captive because they have placed their thoughts permanently on what had passed and not on what is to come in their lives; they are held captive by the feelings of impossibilities considering their failures they experience in their previous actions to get beyond their situations; because of prolonged loneliness despite seeking and praying for true companions; continuous barrenness the amount of money spent on medication and number of years trusting God; lack of a good paying job despite having the best qualification; unstable suitors despite being truthful and sincere; lack of peace in marriage and homes despite showing all godliness in character; and many are living  in captivity because of the bad feelings of constant disappointment, delays and denials. The word of God for us today is cease from being angry despite what we have experienced and to focus our eyes and thoughts on Him for a complete new life.

There are many things that are making Christians sad, angry, uninterested and gloomy; God in His mercy is calling you to come out of those anger and the things that are making and keeping you angry, He had given you the victory that you should not dwell in them again. He is calling you to come out of the things that keeps you sad and uninterested in pursuing living in the most appropriate way, He had defeated your fears and your sadness’s, on your behalf He had defeated the things that made you lose interest in living and following His words and His promises. You may have failed in many things but God’s words had never and will never fail irrespective of the delays and frustrations you may have experienced in trying to see them fulfilled in your lives. He is calling you to come out from the things that makes you sleep, wake and walk with a gloomy countenance, things that had forced you to lose your cheerfulness in Christ, happiness in His words and presence, and lost your good thoughts in His words and actions that glorifies Him. The Lord had redeemed you from the traps that you think will never be possible to overcome and He is taking you the place that He knows is the very best and will be a blessing as you seek walk and serve with honor.

“Be still before the Lord; wait patiently for Him and entrust yourself to Him; do not fret, whine, agonize because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who carries out wicked schemes. Cease from anger and abandon wrath; do not fret; it leads only to evil. For those who do evil will be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord, they will inherit the land. For yet a little while and the wicked one will be gone forever; though you look carefully where he used to be, he will not be found. But the humble will at last inherit the land and will delight themselves in abundant prosperity and peace. The wicked plots against the righteous and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord laughs at him, for He sees that his day of defeat is coming. The wicked have drawn the sword and bent their bow to cast down the afflicted and the needy, to slaughter those who are upright in conduct. The sword will enter their own heart, and their bow will be broken. Better is the little of the righteous than the abundance of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked will be broken, but the Lord upholds and sustains the righteous. The Lord knows the days of the blameless, and their inheritance will continue forever. They will not be ashamed in the time of evil, and in the days of famine they will have plenty and be satisfied.” Psalm 37:7-19 Click here for prayer
