OH MY LORD, GIVE ME DIRECTION TODAY

Every decision in life is important because it will definitely change you and change things around you in various ways. It can help you fulfill the promises and the will of God or it can take you to the opposite direction of what God intends for your life. it can bring you joy or sadness thereafter and it can be what you needed most of what you never needed in the first instant. It is good for all believing Christians to know that while God is speaking to us daily through the scriptures and other means of revelations, He is also willing and present to lead not only our hearts on what is right but also our steps to the right places at the right time. Because we know these, it is absolutely necessary for us to call on Him to direct our hearts and steps when we are in any form of crossroad when following His words for us and His ways in getting things done the right way.

Dreams, visions, and desires are being delayed beyond expectations and time is running out on our patience, our hope, our faithfulness, our obedience, our humility and our trust in those divine words and things we believe and look up to from our loving God. Though we still believe and follow the word of God, the effectiveness of the word in our lives and situations are being questioned by the people. Our labor is not yielding expected fruits, our prayers are not felt and the result unduly delayed; confusion is taking over our thoughts and our actions, yet we have not given up our God or on following and depending on Him. Our thoughts are running wild, situations are becoming embarrassing, help is far from coming, actions are proving difficult and praise is restrained from our lips because of our cries and time spent on thinking and mourning. But in these things, we have the assurance of our loving God that He will lead us in ways we never know before; He will lead us through this our confusion and will take away our shame and sorrows. He will restore our praise and will lead us to fountains that will never dry. Our cries, pains and sorrows can never be indefinite and will not consume us because we have a Father in heaven who see us, who knows us, who feels what we feel and who is loving and able and willing to give us a direction on the right steps to the right place of His blessings and victory and peace. When Abraham was confused, He leads him through that confusion; when Daniel did not know what to do, He gave him an idea; when Hannah could not bear her shame again, He led her to the place where her prayers were answered. I am convinced He will also lead you.

“I the Lord have been silent for a long time; I have been still and restrained Myself. Now I will moan like a woman in labor, I will both gasp and pant. I will lay waste the mountains and hills and wither all their vegetation; I will turn the rivers into coastlands and dry up the ponds. I will lead the blind by a way they do not know; I will guide them in paths that they do not know. I will make darkness into light before them and rugged places into plains. These things I will do for them, and I will not leave them abandoned or undone. Those who trust in carved idols will be turned back, and utterly put to shame, who say to cast images, you are our gods. Hear, you deaf, and look, you blind, that you may see. Who is blind but My servant, or deaf like My messenger whom I send? Who is blind like the one who is at peace with Me in a covenant relationship, or so blind as the servant of the Lord? You have seen many things, but you do not observe them; your ears are open, but no one hears. The Lord was pleased for His righteousness’ sake to make the law great and prove to be glorious. But this is a people despoiled and plundered; all of them are trapped in holes or are hidden away in prisons. They have become a prey with no one to rescue them, and a spoil, with no one to say, gives them back. Who among you will listen to this? Who will listen and pay attention in the time to come? Who gave up Jacob for spoil, and Israel to the plunderers? Was it not the Lord, He against whom we have sinned, and in whose ways they were unwilling to walk, and whose law and teaching they did not obey?” Isaiah 42:14-24 For prayers, Click here
