“And God blessed them and said to them, be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth, and subjugate it and rule over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and every living thing that moves upon the earth. So God said, behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the surface of the entire earth, and every tree which has fruit yielding seed; it shall be food for you; and to all the animals on the earth and to every bird of the air and to everything that moves on the ground to everything in which there is the breath of life I have given every green plant for food; and it was so because He commanded it. God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good. And the Lord God planted a garden in the east, in Eden and He put the man whom He had formed there. And in that garden, the Lord God caused to grow from the ground every tree that is desirable and pleasing to the sight and good for food; the tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of the difference between good and evil.” Genesis 1:28-31, 2:8-9. God had a plan for Adam and Eve and for that plan to work well, He placed them in the Garden of Eden with a commission and a promise.

God has a plan and a purpose for everything He made and everyone who truly loves and follows Him and He will not fail in all of His plans, in all of His purposes at any time and He will not fail in yours. He made man with a plan and with a purpose; despite what Satan had done to man and to the world, He sent Jesus Christ with a plan and a purpose; He gave you salvation with a plan and with a purpose and He is keeping you alive and will lead and enable you to fulfill that plan and that purpose in full. When God made Adam and Eve in His true image and likeness, He did not leave them wondering aimlessly on earth, He deliberately placed them in the Garden of Eden and there, He made adequate provisions to meet all of their needs. Wherever God had placed you, irrespective of the adversity and diversity, the hardship and the troubles, and your glorious or shameful experiences in that location, God will not fail to meet your needs.

When Adam and Eve were tempted by Satan and fell in that temptation, Satan thought all is won and he will have them forever in his plans and confusion, yet in that same sinful state, God still visited them, spoke with them and covered their nakedness, gave them a promise of a Messiah that will come and will defeat Satan. He gave them hope with assurance in Jesus Christ who will crush the head of Satan. It is evidently clear that the God we served also hears our cries, sees our pains, our sicknesses, our lacks, our shame, and nakedness, and He has clear evidence of what He had done before in various places to various people in various needs and situations, and I am very confident that He will do the same again in our lives and situations. Irrespective of all the challenges we face, all the names we are called, all the injustices and all the humiliations, all of His plans for us are unchangeable despite the delays and our worries. He told Moses “I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.” Exodus 3:6. He told Joshua “No man will be able to stand before you to oppose you as long as you live. Just as I was present with Moses, so will I be with you; I will not fail you or abandon you.” Joshua 1:5. Christ Jesus gave us this assurance also; “For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but to do the will of Him who sent Me. This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but that I give new life and raise it up at the last day. For this is My Father’s will and purpose, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him as Savior will have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day.” John 6:38-40. We are called Christian because we have come to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, we have voluntarily accepted Him into our lives, we have believed every word of God, we have submitted ourselves to follow His words and principles and because of these, we will not be left behind, and He will not fail to fulfill His words and promises to us.
