“Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, I will go over and see this strange sight, why the bush does not burn up. When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush, Moses, Moses and Moses said, here I am. Do not come any closer, God said. Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground. Then he said, I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob. At this, Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at God. The Lord said, I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey, the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. And now the cry of the Israelites has reached me, and I have seen the way the Egyptians are oppressing them. So now, go. I am sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelite's out of Egypt. But Moses said to God, Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt? And God said, I will be with you. And this will be the sign to you that it is I who have sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God on this mountain.” Exodus 3:1-12

When God took Moses to Jethro’s house, it was for a purpose; When He allowed him to start keeping sheep, it was for a purpose; when He started fire in the bush before Moses, it was for a purpose; when He opened his eyes to see the fire, it was for a purpose; when he allowed him to pay close attention and move closer to the fire, it was for a purpose; when he allowed him to hear his voice out of the fire, it was for a purpose; when he allowed His angel to appear to Moses in that fire, it was for a purpose; when He spoke to him, giving his take on the sufferings of the children of Israel, it was for a purpose; and when He commissioned him to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt, it was for a purpose.

Whatever the Lord is doing in your life, in the lives of your children, spouse, finances, marriage, family and neighborhood, they are all for a purpose. God will never allow anything to happen to you without a purpose, and He will never do anything without a purpose. Whatever He allows is for His purpose to be fulfill. The purpose He allowed Moses to experience all that he did was for His purpose of fulfilling His promises to Abraham; it was for the purpose of glorifying His name among the nations; it was for the purpose of delivering all His children from bondage, shame and sufferings; it was for the purpose of showing to the world that even though His children may suffer wrongly, He will not forsake them; when they cry to Him, He will answer them; when they are oppressed unjustly, He will deliver them; when they are maltreated, abuse and used, He will not look the other way, and that at the right time He will show up on their behalf.

Always and in everything under the heavens, God has His purpose and will definitely have His way. Despite all the competitions, the discouragements, the disappointments, the frustrations, the fears and the uncertainties in the world, God will always have His way, His plans perfected and His purposed fulfilled. You are God’s perfect plan and instrument to accomplish excellent goals that will praise God’s Holy name. He did not call you in vain; He did not save you in vain; He did not give you His spirit in vain; He did not give you dreams in vain; He did not give you a spouse in vain; He did not give you children in vain; He did not give you a profession in vain; He did not open your eyes to see today in vain; He is not preserving your life in vain.
