MOSES UNEXPECTED ENCOUNTER WITH DESTINY

Post date: May 14, 2018 5:01:18 AM

Moses was born in an unexpected time in an unexpected location to an expectant family. After many months of hiding him from public sights, he was unwillingly abandoned by the riverside because of an unfavorable decree in the land by a wicked king in power. That same Moses was rescued by an unexpected Pharaoh’s daughter where he was placed; Moses grew up to become a man in an unexpected home full of hope, joy and great expectations for the future and he became unexpected great and had influence in the house of Pharaoh and in Egypt. A time came in his life when things turn around for the unexpected after forty years in this place of comfort, of joy and assurance. Moses reached his highest point in life according to the best of human calculations and understanding in the house of Pharaoh before he left; it was a general belief that Moses will never be anybody or anything again in life when he left the house of Pharaoh, but men never knew that despite what happened, God had a better plan for Moses and Moses also never knew or expected anything better for himself, but one thing was very sure, Moses decision never to leave or forget his God was intact and very profound despite his situation and his location.

Moses suddenly found himself at the lowest point and lowest place in his life, a place without any hope of relocation, a place without a word of encouragement from anyone to look to, a place without the comfort he desire or deserve, a place of self-rejection, a place of extremely low self-esteem, and a place of loneliness, but in that same place and in that situation suddenly something unexpected begins to happen, something he had never seen before, something he never expected and he heard something he never heard before and experienced something her never expected will ever happen to him or anyone. He was at the place of rejection, condemnation, frustration, and anger but in that same place and situation, God showed up well and his life turned for the best he never expected. That unexpected encounter was all that Moses needed for the restoration of everything about his life, for his hope towards the future, for the renewal of his strength, for the restoration of his self-esteem, for the joy he had lost to be restored, and for his future to look better, brighter, hopeful, and joyful. Despite your present situation and your present location and your frustrations, and all the disappointments, did you know God has an unexpectant plan that He will definitely implement in your life? He will do it and you will see it come to pass.

“One day Moses was tending the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian. He led the flock far into the wilderness and came to Sinai, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a blazing fire from the middle of a bush. Moses stared in amazement. Though the bush was engulfed in flames, it didn’t burn up. This is amazing, Moses said to himself. Why isn’t that bush burning up? I must go see it. When the Lord saw Moses coming to take a closer look, God called to him from the middle of the bush, Moses, Moses, here I am, Moses replied. Do not come any closer, the Lord warned. Take off your sandals, for you are standing on holy ground. I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. When Moses heard this, he covered his face because he was afraid to look at God. Then the Lord told him, I have certainly seen the oppression of my people in Egypt. I have heard their cries of distress because of their harsh slave drivers. Yes, I am aware of their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the power of the Egyptians and lead them out of Egypt into their own fertile and spacious land. It is a land flowing with milk and honey, the land where the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites now live. Look, the cry of the people of Israel has reached me, and I have seen how harshly the Egyptians abuse them. Now go, for I am sending you to Pharaoh. You must lead my people Israel out of  Egypt.” Exodus 3:1-10. That was the encounter that changed his life forever. For prayers, Click here
