THE FRUIT OF LOVE IS A TEST OF OUR HEART

Post date: Feb 13, 2018 10:34:35 PM

God had made provisions for you to pass the test of true love by showing us the example in His own love for us. He had made provisions for us to scale over the measuring scales, to stand up to all the demands of the test; He had made provisions for us to overcome every challenge in love and to be victorious as we should be in Him. While Satan desires our failures in the challenges of love, God in His love confronted him through the Cross at Calvary, and with that sacrifice, we have the victory and put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them. True love is the love that is based on putting our trust in His love for us as we walk in love and remain in love. God will not stop loving us and we should not stop loving Him and putting our trust in His love as we love others.

Without God in the heart, there is no love irrespective of our words, actions and the gift we give or receive in the name of love. When God is absent in the heart, love is absent; when God is in the heart, then these parameters of love will be seen in us; “Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wrong. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance. Love will last forever.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8. We should always test our own love with these parameters; patience, kind, jealousy, boasting, proud, rude, does it demand its own way, is it irritable, keep records of wrong, rejoice about injustice, rejoices when the truth wins, gives up, loses faith, without hope, endure circumstance, and lasting forever? This test is personal and through God’s grace and love, we can pass the test. This is what God demands in our love. When the love of the Almighty God is in our heart, that love will guide our decisions, direct our ways, and give us victory and reasons to be joyful in that victory.

The true test of love is to love God to the point of obedience to His words and following all His examples in everything we do or desire to do. If we fail to love that way, we will fail God and we will fail in our love to men irrespective of the relationship. True love will not engage in any form immorality, will not encourage disobedience to God’s principles, will not practice or display or encourage satanic intents. True love will always speak unity, seek unity; speak obedience to God and His principles and condemnation. It will seek to make peace and to abide by the Love of God through the love of Jesus Christ. There is no one who wants to be tested, none wants to fail, and none want to be left behind, but we can never avoid being tested because it will definitely come; examinations of motives and intents will come, and God expects us to prove our love for Him in that test and in that examinations that will come.

We read, “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Romans 5:8. God showed us love while we were yet deep in our sins and Christ Jesus died while we yet wallowing in our numerous sins. God did not wait until we acknowledge Him as God and saved before loving us; Christ Jesus did not wait until we accept Him as Lord and He did not wait until we repent and become righteous before taking our punishment on the Cross to die. Many distaste being tested or being subjected to test before approval. God proves His love for us before we believed, trust and follow Him. Let us love God and show the true love of God in our hearts as we love others. Did you know that love is the fruit of the Holy Spirit of Go dwelling us? Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives, love, patience, joy, kindness peace, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. The love of God is the true measure of our love, and love is a fruit of the spirit of God in the heart of all true believers. It is not the love to sin or disobey the principles of God, but love to be obedient God in our relationships and to allow that love to shine brightly in all that we do. For prayers, Click here
