OUR JOURNEY, OUR GOD

“But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you. O Israel, the one who formed you says, do not be afraid, for I have ransomed you. I have called you by name; you are mine. When you go through the deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through the rivers of difficulty, you will not be drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up, the flames will not consume you”. Isaiah 43:1-2 (NLT)

The Christian journey is one of the most interesting journey anyone will ever undertake on earth but it is also the most troublesome, most challenged, most delayed and a journey one will always live to remember the good side and the bad side. While every Christian is struggling to find the right path to follow at the right moment, many have the thinking that the road is hard to find and difficult to stay focused on and thereby have devised their own ways and call it God’s way. Your ways can never be His ways but His ways can be your ways. Your thoughts can never be His thoughts but His thoughts can be yours. His thoughts and ways are always on the higher and better side.

The devil will never challenge you on your own ways but will always challenge you when you are on God’s path for your life. The devil will never challenge failures and those who are on the wrong path of life. He always challenges those on the right path to make them think and look like failures. The devil is the number one enemy of your success. The easiest road to travel in life is your road, and your road is the wrong way that will never take you to God’s destiny for your life.

Know that when you are following God and depending on Him on this journey, He will never take you through the road you choose and the ways you know. He will only take you through the way He chooses and the path He approves. But before He takes you on this road, He will first guarantee your success despite what you will experience. He will not take you through the ways He cannot defend and sustain you. He will not take you through the road He knows the devil will overwhelm you.

His word for you as you follow the road He leads you is that you keep on moving; be assured that you will encounter great confusion (that is deep waters), but He will be with you in it; not passively but actively with His wisdom that will ensure you are always delivered, corrected, restored and placed on the right path to continue the journey. Never give up when confused; seek and always depend on God’s wisdom. You will also encounter rivers of difficulty (that is, not just one but numerous). The reason for difficulties is to get you drowned, but the devil cannot drown you when the God you are walking with has vowed to be with you. Difficulty is only a reminder to you that God alone is able to solve all problems. You will encounter fire of oppression (from all fronts, thinking you are foolish and out of your mind). The assurance from God is that you will not be burned up and you will not be consumed despite the intensity from the devil.

I want you to note that the path that God will take you through will never be smooth throughout, but He will always sustain you through that road with His grace irrespective of the power of the devil standing to prevent you. He will not take you through ways He will lose sight of you because you are too precious in His eyes to die a failure. God is proud to say of you; “-- he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.” Zechariah 2:8. Be courageous, God is with you. He will never leave you alone on this journey with Him
