WHO SHOULD I CALL ON DEAR LORD

Post date: Jul 18, 2014 4:00:11 AM

“And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against thee: I am God, even thy God. I will not reprove thee for thy sacrifices or thy burnt offerings, to have been continually before me. I will take no bullock out of thy house, nor he goats out of thy folds. For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: for the world is mine, and the fullness thereof. Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats? Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.” Psalm 50:15

You may be thinking you are all alone in your current situation; you may be feeling there is no one out there for you to call on for help, for assistance and for direction; you may be feeling there is no one out there again who will really show mercy to you, who you can really trust again after several disappointments, and you may be feeling there is no one that you can really rely one for some relieve. But despite your feelings and the things that you are seeing, God has not left you alone and will never leave you alone irrespective of the situation and the number of years you have felt this way in your life.

Feelings like this are not rare and isolated these days; feelings like this do not just come up after experiencing one disappointment but many. These feelings are not limited to some people in certain locations, certain professions, certain race and certain gender; they are wide spread, and are commonly heard. Though this is not a good feelings and definitely not comforting to hear, but despite that, the Almighty God is still alive and is still working in the lives of His children to perfect all of His words and promises to them.

These feelings are definitely not a failure signals, they go a long way to show that you are not just sitting idle and hoping in vain for a change; it shows you have a living expectation, and that you are trusting for the manifestations of the expectation; it shows you have not given up the best of you in hope, and have not given up consultations with people and praying; it shows your minds are engaged and seeking positive ways of getting out of the situation permanently; it shows your heart is ready to meditate on what is right, what is meaningful, and what is sure to produce result; it shows your feet are ready to move and your hands are ready to art, and with that, there is every assurance that the change will come. Your attempts to change that situation will definitely yield result one day.

Though people may have refuse to offer help to you, though they may refuse to show and bowl of mercy, and though they may have refused to be reliable and to stand with you in the time of your difficulties, God will never depart from you, He will forever stand with you till the day of your change and beyond. God in His mercy and wisdom did not create Adam alone and He did not allow Him to remain alone indefinitely. By His grace He gave him Eve as a companion forever, He also gave them His provisions to keep them in His blessings. That same grace is also made available to you today

Because there is no one else to call, to trust and to rely on, do not give up your expectation and hope, do not give up and accept the disappointment from the devil, do not give up and allow the wicked to take the best of your thoughts and ideas, God said, ‘call on Me’ and with a promise to answer and to bring a change. God’s testimonies are sure; they are true; they are real; and they are very comforting. Whatever God had made, declares His glory and speaks of His goodness. It is not too late to call on the Lord, it is not going to be in vain to call on Him and it will never be a waste of your precious time. Call on Him. For prayers, Click here
