BROKEN BARRIER

There will always be certain conditions in our lives that we will not be able to fully understand and give appropriate explanation about. But note this, in that same condition, God is not absent neither is He unwilling to step in and take the glory. There is nothing that can stop God when we call and surrender ourselves to Him. Do not allow such conditions to confuse you about your right standing with God. When His seal of salvation is upon you, you will ever remain to be His irrespective of what the devil will ever do thereafter. God gave that seal freely and will never forget that He did. The devil will always try to challenge the seal by bringing situations that creates doubt, fear, anxiety, and sometimes self-accusation and condemnation.

Taking the life of Job as our example, we are told of his right standing with God in all things, and what the devil did to him personally despite being righteous before God and man in all his ways; what the devil did to his family and to his business after God had openly boasted of his good character in one of the gatherings of the children of God.

God will never light up a lamp and put it under a lamp stand, that is not God’s character. His intent is to put the lamp on a stand, conspicuous enough for the world to see. You are that light to be placed on a stand for the world to see and praise God. The devil can only hinder God’s lamp temporally, he cannot stop them completely. God is bringing you up to your rightful place.

Whether the devil like it or not, God is still boasting about His children today, when God did that of Job, the devil took it upon himself to disprove God, but can he? Permit me to bring this to your notice, irrespective of the furious acts of the devil against any of God’s children; there will always be a limitation to his works. The devil might have the chance to afflict, but does not have the chance to kill; might have the power to take, but does not have the power to restrain you from having again. Might have the power to delay, but does not have the power to stop you from remaining hopeful and expectant completely. Might have the power to frustrate, but does not have the power to stop you from trying all over again. The devil might succeed in breaking God’s hedge (barrier) around you, but does not have the power of restraining God from remembering you again, and He will surely remember you.

This is the bible account of God’s boasting of Job. “Now there was a day when the sons (the angels) of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan (the adversary and accuser) also came among them. And the Lord said to Satan, From where did you come? Then Satan answered the Lord, From going to and fro on the earth and from walking up and down on it. And the Lord said to Satan, Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who [reverently] fears God and abstains from and shuns evil [because it is wrong]? Then Satan answered the Lord, Does Job [reverently] fear God for nothing? Have You not put a hedge about him and his house and all that he has, on every side? You have conferred prosperity and happiness upon him in the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But put forth Your hand now and touch all that he has, and he will curse You to Your face. And the Lord said to Satan (the adversary and the accuser), Behold, all that he has is in your power; only upon the man himself put not forth your hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the Lord” Job 1:6-12

Your protective barriers might have been broken in by the devil, but that will not force God to forget you. Job was overwhelmed with pains and afflictions, his friends tried to make him accept unknown mistakes and guilt, but Job kept himself hopeful and expectant of God’s visitation and restoration. Be hopeful and expectant, God will never forget you despite the broken boundaries.
