THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD

There is no other assurance so strong and potent than to have and to feel the presence of the Almighty God with you every day and every time despite the prevailing circumstances. Nothing as sweet as going to bed at night, waking up in the morning, going out for the day’s activities and going back home, enduring the pains, the disgrace, the failure, the abuses, the disappointment and the shame of that day and never losing the feelings that the Almighty, All-knowing and the All-powerful God is with you. Such feelings quickly wipe away the memory of the past, bring an unimaginable peace, healing of the body, heart, thought and mind, it also gives us the needed courage to wake up again and face the next day with all vigor with the hope for a turn around.

That was the picture of the true life of King David. Before he became great, he went through great endurance of affliction, discomfort, abuse and shame so he can be what God called him to be in life. Before taking the challenge to pass through this horrible road, He knew he was called by God to fulfill a purpose, he knew he was anointed for that same purpose, he accept the call, the grace, the anointing and the appointment, he knew he was anointed to lead on a greater level and he knew God will not disappoint him despite what men will ever do to him. That was the accompanying knowledge in his life that gave rise to great courage against the lions in the forest, against Goliath in the battle field, against the formidable armies of King Saul and against the distractions of his sons. Such feelings stimulated great patience and humility in him, taking him to the place of prayers and meditation on the words and promises of God often. Those assurances helped shape his life and thoughts and thereafter position him to be victorious and fulfilled.

I know God has a purpose for you, He built something invisible and indestructible inside of you, I know He gave you salvation so His plans and purposes for you may be fulfilled. I know He will never lie and I know He will defend all that He had deposited inside of you and guard you until the season and time of your manifesting them gloriously. I am asking now, what do you know about yourself and what do you know about God’s salvation for your soul? Not what you think?

Know that your God is not afraid of your situation and does not cry about it, nothing intimidates Him and not will put Him off from helping you. There is no situation too difficult or impossible for Him to change and give a solution, no situation that He will have to consult or obtain permission from anyone before solving and there is no situation that He will need time to think over. He is absolutely perfect, absolutely able and absolutely willing to save and deliver you.

The year might be passing fast, people may have forgotten you, you may not have fulfilled your dreams and desires, but despite all this, know that the Almighty God is with you for good. People may have despised you, forsaken you, mistreat and reject you, but God is still with you.

There is nothing as liberating in life, nothings as joyous, nothing as assuring than to know that the Almighty God, the maker of heaven and earth, the one who was, who is, and who is to come, not someone else who claim to be like him or like you is with you every day and every time. This was King David’s testimony; “The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack. He makes me lie down in [fresh, tender] green pastures; He leads me beside the still and restful waters. He refreshes and restores my life (my self); He leads me in the paths of righteousness [uprightness and right standing with Him not for my earning it, but] for His name’s sake. Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my [brimming] cup runs over. Surely or only goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and through the length of my days the house of the Lord [and His presence] shall be my dwelling place.” Psalm 23:1-6.
