"FOUR WAYS THAT WE OVERCOME OUR MOUNTAINS"

“Physical training is good, but training for godliness is much better, promising benefits in this life and in the life to come. This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it. This is why we work hard and continue to struggle, for our hope is in the living God, who is the Savior of all people and particularly of all believers. Teach these things and insist that everyone learn them” 1 Timothy 4:8-11. Mountains are issues that we can see, feel and do experience and many of these mountains also we cannot see but do feel and experience. There are many mountains that Satan had placed on our ways for our downfall, destructions or delay in being what God had said and fulfilling what He had promised; some mountains are spiritual while others are physical and most often we cannot do anything to those mountains by ourselves than to take them to our Lord Jesus in prayers, trust that He will excellently remove the mountain and the symptoms caused by the mountains from us without hurting our relationship with Him and others in a miraculous way. There is nothing that God will not do for the righteous believers; he will not forsake any and He will not allow any to be persecuted indefinitely. The scripture says physical exercises are good for the body but spiritual exercises are commendable when it comes to removing mountains that hinder our physical and spiritual growths, prevent the quickening of the word of God according to our faith in the written word and seeks to stop us from making progress and bearing good fruits as our faith grows and as we increase in knowledge of the word of God.

While God wants to give us victory, we must have to trust Him absolutely and rely on Him much more than we rely on our strength and knowledge and power and wisdom in getting things done. We have to trust and believe that our God is perfect in things. In giving us the expected victory and a promised glory in His name, God will do these four things against the mountains in our lives that we take to Him in prayers: (1) God will take us through the mountains peacefully while protecting us against whatever may come after you excellently. In taking us through, He defends us, He protects us, he enables us daily and he sustains us throughout the period. (2) God will take us over all the mountains; in taking us over the mountains, He gives us an extraordinary power of His grace that the mountains will not hinder us, will not stop us, and will not bring us down as we walk along with Him. He told Paul, His grace was sufficient to enable him to complete what he was called to do. (3) God takes us around leaving the mountain behind us. He told the children of Israel, I will make a way where there is no way before for you to go through what was before them as they journey towards the Promised Land. In taking us round, He opens up miraculous ways for us to escape, he provides before things and better places, and in taking us around He gives us favor even where we had been denied favor before. And (4) God brings down all the mountains before our eyes. In doing this, He fights our battles and conquers our foes, transferring the shame that was meant for us to them and giving us security in a way that our enemies begin to bow before us and look up to us for all their needed help.

“God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? God arms me with strength, and he makes my way perfect. He makes me as surefooted as a deer, enabling me to stand on mountain heights. He trains my hands for battle; he strengthens my arm to draw a bronze bow. You have given me your shield of victory. Your right hand supports me; your help has made me great. You have made a wide path for my feet to keep them from slipping.” Psalm 18:30-36. Ye have compassed this mountain long enough: turn you northward. And command thou the people, saying, ye are to pass through the coast of your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir; and they shall be afraid of you: take ye good heed unto yourselves therefore: Deuteronomy 2:3-4. God will do it for you, walk and remain in Him. For Prayers, Click here
