For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth to give strong support to those whose heart is blameless toward Him. 2 Chronicles 16:9. The eyes of the Lord are on you, not to harm you, or destroy you; not to hinder you, or keep you from being blessed and fulfilled as He intended for you and spoken in His words and promises concerning you now and in the future which is to come. The power of His amazing love will not only bring you to His presence; it will also transform you and enable you according to His plans. He will show you mercy even when and where you have been condemned and forced to suffer loss. He will lift you up and take you out from any place you have fallen, or had been abandoned by friends, family, or the system of the world. No one will take your position in the place God had recommended for you to be even your competitors are many, stronger, and are well connected. Despite going through all the pains and hatred from Saul and his armed men, David said, “surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.” Psalm 23:6

That was a clear statement of confidence, not in self, not in strength, or in human connections, but confidence in the Lord, confidence in His anointing, confidence in His word, and confidence in His promises. Put your confidence in His word; your situation can never remain the same. It will definitely change. SURELY, WHAT GOD HAD SAID OF YOU WILL COME TO PASS. ALL WILL BE FULFILLED DESPITE WHAT YOU HAD EXPERIENCED, SEEN, AND KNOWN IN THE PAST OR WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH IN LIFE NOW. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall my word be that goes out from my mouth; it shall not return to me empty, but it shall accomplish that which I purpose, and shall succeed in the thing for which I sent it. For you shall go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands. Instead of the thorn shall come up the cypress; instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle; and it shall make a name for the Lord, an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off.” Psalm 55:8-13

The people of Israel demanded and trusted Samuel to give them a king and Saul was made one; when Saul fell out of favor with God by his action dew to fear, God rejected him as king and desired Samuel to anoint someone else in his place. Though Samuel prayed and seek God’s help in the process of nominating a new king; Samuel knew that it will be a difficult task, but God knew that it will be a possible task with him. Samuel knew Saul will desire to kill him, and God knew He will protect him from being harmed or killed. Samuel knew David was a young boy and physically untrained in the affairs of a nation, but God knew He had adequately equipped David with all that will be required in that office to do what He requires well and to succeed in it. Samuel knew David’s family was small in Israel, but God knew that He will enlarge them and give them favor beyond their size. Samuel wanted to anoint David’s elder brother instead because of his physical appearance, height, and body stature, but God said no and told Samuel He does not look at the physical appearance of people, but looks at their hearts, their thoughts, all their life desires, and consider their actions after giving them opportunities.

The evil you know and had experienced will hinder your good thoughts, will limit your actions, and will create fears and doubts in you. The place in the palace was reserved for David and for him alone; not for any other family member; not for his friends or colleagues; not for any of the highest-ranking government or military officials, but for David, and David got it. You will get it. For prayers, Click here
