"THE DAY GOLIATH FELL (4)"

Post date: Oct 26, 2018 3:48:37 AM

David said, “The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said to David, go, and may the Lord be with you.” 1 Samuel 17:37. And God was actually with David before he faced Goliath, when he stood up against Goliath and after the battle with Goliath. What God had done before in your life and in the life of others, He can do it again; whatever He had allowed in your life is for His glory and the reason will be revealed thereafter, be strong, be courageous and remain faithful, God will not let you down and He will not allow you to cry indefinitely. He did not allow these things to happen so you will be in shame or fill abandoned; He did not call and anoint you to be a failure or chosen you be used and dumped by men; He will not allow you to fight a battle that will not advance you beyond where you are, what you are, and how things had been with you. It will be a battle that changes things in your life, changes situations for good, and changes you to what He had said and destined. Remember every battle must produce a victim and a victor, but through Christ Jesus you had been declared a victor even before the battle begins. “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us so much that He died for us. For I am convinced and continue to be convincedbeyond any doubt that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the unlimited love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:37-39. God’s love will always work wonders

When God saves, calls or anoint you, He will prepare a place for you, He will prepare a table for you, He will prepare a moment for you, He will prepare a situation for you, and He will prepare a location and audience for you and whatever your enemies may and will do, they will not be able to overturn what God had planned and prepared and destined for you in this life. In defending and leading you, God will ensure only His goodness and His mercies are your companion not the wickedness and humiliations and shame from men. David testified thereafter of the goodness he received from the Lord: “The Lord is my Shepherd to feed, to guide and to shield me, I shall not want. He lets me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still and quiet waters. He refreshes and restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the sunless valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod to protect and Your staff to guide, they comfort and console me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You have anointed and refreshed my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy and unfailing love shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell forever throughout all my days in the house and in the presence of the Lord.” Psalm 23:1-6

When the Lord is with you and you allow Him to be your shepherd, then He will give guidance when you need it; He will defend you with a shield against the works and plans and actions of the enemies; He will lead you in battles and to places of where you have victory and supply to your needs. He will refresh your mind with His good news and restore your dreams and what you have lost in life while waiting and trusting in Him; He leads me in the paths of to total joy and victory; He will be with you to protect, to comfort and to console. He will prepare you for the things to come and will keep you prepared such that evil will not overrun you. The story of David is endless, and the victory is amazing. The result that followed that battle with Goliath was that God’s anointing on David was true, real and purposeful; the promises of God were fulfilled and David sat on the throne as King over Israel despite the plots and actions of King Saul against him.
