IN TIMES OF FALSE ACCUSATION

Post date: May 29, 2014 4:06:31 AM

Dear Lord, life is getting too hard for me, everything is getting tough every day, my challenges are increasing and my troubles seem to be on the increase. The people who want me dead are increasing in number and very powerful; they are well connected in the society and plotting my fall is a big deal for them. Strange people are monitoring my movement; they are monitoring my speeches, my actions, and are trapping all my footsteps for evil. Lord, the distance to my desired destination in life seems to be extended every day, the days of my deliverance is too far to come, I have been waiting for Your help, for Your blessings, for Your peace, and I have been trusting absolutely on Your name. The days of the victory I prayed and fasted for seem not to be coming, and the forces and powers of darkness are putting final touches towards my destruction, but Lord I will not give up praying, trusting and praising You.

That must have been the daily prayers of Daniel when he first heard of the plot to destroy him, saw the people watching and accusing him to achieve their evil desires. You may be in that same situation today as Daniel; you may have seen what he saw, known what he knew, and heard what he heard. If you prayed that same prayer and had that same expectation like Daniel, you have not made a mistake and God had not made a mistake either for allowing you to hear, to see and to experience what is going on behind, and before you today. We are told in the scriptures that Daniel did not take that plot lightly. He saw the lion’s den; knew they were prepared to consume him, but instead of pleading with the people or the king, he went to God and demanded help.

There will be a time of consistent prayers in your life and a time of intense prayers also. Daniel did not call his three trusted friends up for a prayer meeting, and he did not declare any form of personal fasting. We should know the time to fast and pray and time to just pray. All he did was to increase the number of times he prayed daily to three and trust God the rest of the time and days of the evil plots. While trusting God for anything that touches your destiny, give all you can to seek His presence more. Give priority to consistent and intense prayers; focus your thoughts, eyes, and imaginations on God and not on the situations that seeks to destroy you. You must know that there is nothing that God will not do for those who seek His face daily and walk in His ways with all faithfulness and readiness to implement His will.

Though God did not give Daniel a verbal answer when he prayed, did not give him any form of assuring dreams, or revelations, or word of knowledge, or word of wisdom, or prophesy, Daniel never failed to trust that God was with him and continued in his prayers till the very time he was arrested and thrown into the den of lions. Daniel never gave up his believe in the God he knew and served with all of his heart and might. Though the pains were much, Daniel never failed to praise God throughout that period. What are you doing when you are falsely accused?

“Then the other administrators and high officers began searching for some fault in the way Daniel was handling government affairs, but they couldn’t find anything to criticize or condemn. He was faithful, always responsible, and completely trustworthy. So they concluded; our only chance of finding grounds for accusing Daniel will be in connection with the rules of his religion. But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God. Then the officials went together to Daniel’s house and found him praying and asking for God’s help.” Daniel 6: 4-5, 10-11

The devil is using everything to accuse you before God, men and yourself?  He is using your situation, word, your reaction and reflections to hold you in anger. Using delays in fulfilling dreams and desires, loneliness, lack, and sickness; using your spouses, children, job and family. Turn to God in praise and He will give you help as Daniel did.
