I HEARD HIM SAY TO ME  -  I AM YOUR GOD (3)

God is beyond the greatest imaginations of men; beyond dreams, beyond desires; He is beyond the utmost concept of the best of knowledge and wisdom in all forms of human learning. The only way to know God is by believing that He is God and that He exists in the heavens; has all the power and all dominion to do whatever He wants and desires irrespective of the situation, time, location, people and spirits standing to oppose or fight against His plans and purpose. When God declares ‘I AM YOUR GOD’, know that significant things are about to start happening through, around, in, and within you. Your life is about to change, you are about to experience the things that you have not experienced before and seen things that will transform you significantly in all areas of living. When God declared that to Abraham, his life never remain the same again from then on and God was proud enough thereafter to declare to Moses, I am the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I wonder why God did not use Adam and Eve as His reference.

We are made in His complete Image and likeness but through consistent unrepented sins, known or unknown forms of none adherence to His words and principles, we have rejected Him and fallen out from His grace that would have ensured our peace and blessing. But at the time of our true and open confession of our sins to Him and repentance from the past wrongs and attitudes of condemnation and pride, we have salvation through Christ Jesus, we are restored to that Image and likeness, we lost through sin, His grace that brought us peace and victory is restored, and we are thereafter called again the children of God. Thereafter, when He declared I AM YOUR GOD, it means He is taking over your situation, He is about turning things around for you as He did for Abraham when he was nothing before his people; I will give you many descendants; they will become a great nation; I will bless you; I will make your name famous, you will be a blessing’. And God in His power fulfilled all of what He said to Abraham. He did the same in the life of Isaac when He gave him a great turnaround miracle in a time of great famine; then Isaac sowed in that land and received in the same year a hundredfold, the Lord blessed him, the man waxed great, went forward, grew until he became very great, he had possession of flocks, possession of herds, great store of servants, and the Philistines envied him.

God also did the same with and for Jacob before Laban his master and Esau his brother. Fourteen years I worked to win your two daughters, six years for your flocks, even then, you changed my wages ten times. If the God of my fathers, the God of Abraham and Isaac, had not been with me, you would have sent me away empty-handed. But God has seen my trouble and the work I have done, and last night he gave His judgment. I am not worth all the kindness and faithfulness that you have shown me, your servant. I crossed the Jordan with nothing but a walking stick, and now I have come back with these two groups. That was Jacob’s testimony, he went out with nothing and alone but came back with wealth and children and servants.

When God declares I AM YOUR GOD, it means you should pay attention to what is in your life now and what is coming hereafter; pay attention to what Satan had done and what God will do in that same situation and place; pay attention to every detail of your life and to godliness. It means cast out fears, your worries, your troubles, and your uncertainties, the inflamed words of shame and disgrace from the devil and his agents is about to consume them. Everything that disturbs or distracts you is changing, God is giving you victory and triumph even in the seeming defeat. It means giving yourself, your thoughts, your minds, your family, your health, your children, your finances, and your future into His programs for change and power that comes only through Him in all situations. It means to trust Him as Abraham did at al times in all things, trust Him as Isaac did even in times of famine and as Jacob did even when his wages were adjusted downward on ten different occasions, and it means to remain faithful to Him.
