“We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves. We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies. Yes, we live under constant danger of death because we serve Jesus so that the life of Jesus will be evident in our dying bodies. So we live in the face of death, but this has resulted in eternal life for you. But we continue to preach because we have the same kind of faith the psalmist had when he said, I believed in God, so I spoke. We know that God, who raised the Lord Jesus, will also raise us with Jesus and present us to himself together with you. All of this is for your benefit. And as God’s grace reaches more and more people, there will be great thanksgiving, and God will receive more and more glory. That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.” 2 Corinthians 4:7-16

Job was human like all of us, he knew, trusted, and obeyed God in his personal, business, and family life. Job did his best to follow God’s principles and to honor Him. He was blameless before God; a man of complete integrity in deeds and words; a man who feared God; a man who stayed away from engaging in evil, stay away from people and places of evil activities in his private and public life and in business. Job was a hard-working man and successful, a man who loves his family and committed to their spiritual and physical welfare, and a man of consistent prayer. A man whose personal and business activities were guided by the word and fear of the Lord and whose ways and thoughts were always directed to please God and uplift His name. In his life and everywhere he went, his God was seen and known in his family, with his friends and with all his workers and followers. Job was rich and wealthy and in those good days, Job was admired, envied, and respected by all.

But despite his good deeds and good heart, despite his practice of righteousness and faithfulness, despite his excellent prayer life and despite his personal commitment to Godly excellence, Job became a target of Satan, a target for destruction, a target for shame, a target for humiliation, a target for insults, and a target for public ridicule. But despite all the odds that Satan in his power raised against him, God was still with Job even in his afflictions and shame. Job woke up one morning with joy and good expectations, he prayed his usual prayers and also committed himself, his family and business to God, but unknown to him was the fact that Satan had obtained permission to destroy everything that belongs to him and everything that has his name and is under his control. Job did not know that Satan had obtained permission to change his lifestyle by his evil plans and activities and that God had granted the request even when such request was contrary to Job’s prayers, expectations, and God’s plans for his life.

Did you know the devil will plan and is planning, he is looking and watching to afflict pains and sorrows, waiting to insult, humiliate, and confuse you, your thoughts, and your expectations by his evil activities? But despite what he will ever say or do to or against you in this life, the Almighty God we know, accept, and follow through Jesus Christ is with us, and, He has the final say concerning our lives? He allows fear and ends fear, allows troubles, and ends troubles. God allowed Satan to tempt Job, to destroy His business, his family, and his health, but despite all the adversities in Job’s life and business, God was not absent. God was there to watch over him until the time He started speaking and commanding blessings again in his life. God will command His blessings in your life as He continuously watches over you.
