AS GOD MADE DAVID, HE WILL MAKE YOU

David was not born with a silver spoon, but before his birth, God had a golden plan for his life that nothing could change. As a young boy without dreams, or desires, he was assigned the duty of caring for the family’s sheep and his place of residence was the forest. No better plan was there for him, he was not even given a chance to join the military, but unknown to them, God had His eyes on Him, God has His plans for him, and God had destined him for something far better and far beyond their plans and their thoughts for him. He was abandoned by his parents but God did not; by his parents imaginations and plans, he was not reckoned by the family to become anything than a sheep keeper, talk less of becoming a king or was any greatness ever attached to him, but God knew what He will do in him, for him, and through him right the beginning.

In the beginning, David never knew God’s plan for his life, never asked God for anything, never prayed, and never had a dream or a desire, but his heart was constantly fixed on praising God always with songs and string instruments despite his location in the forest, the family position concerning him, and his occupation of keeping sheep. Did you know that what God will do for you, in you, and through you, will be done and nothing will stop Him? Whether you know it or not, whether you have asked in your prayers or not, whether you have desired it not, God knows it and He will do it; keep your heart fixed on Him always; keep your eyes focused on Him, and be in constant expectation for what He will do. He will not fail in His words and in His promise. It is on record that David did not know, but God knew it and God did it for him. “Yet hear now, O Jacob My servant, and Israel whom I have chosen. Thus says the Lord who made you and formed you from the womb, who will help you; ‘Fear not, O Jacob My servant; and you Jeshurun, whom I have chosen. For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and floods on the dry ground; I will pour My Spirit on your descendants, And My blessing on your offspring; they will spring up among the grass like willows by the watercourses.’ One will say, ‘I am the Lord’s, another will call himself by the name of Jacob; another will write with his hand, ‘The Lord’s,’

and name himself by the name of Israel. Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts; I am the First and I am the Last; besides Me, there is no God.” Isaiah 44:1-6. Do not be afraid, God had given you salvation, He will help you, He will lift you up and He will establish His plans in your life.

At the right time in history, God took David out of the forest; took him out from tending sheep, and made him king before the same family that had no better plan for him. God sent Samuel to anoint him King before his family members and later before his countrymen. And we are told anointing breaks yokes and transforms people. You have been saved by grace, you have known the Lord Jesus Christ and accepted Him as your Lord and savior, your appointed day is at hand, your moment of rejoicing is coming and God will not fail in His promises to you despite the past or current insults in your life. David never knew the anointing of that day will eventually lead to a covenant with the Almighty God that will outlive him. “He chose David His servant and took him from the sheep pens; from tending the sheep He brought him to be the shepherd of his people Jacob, of Israel His inheritance. And David shepherded them with integrity of heart; with skillful hands, he led them.” Psalm 78:70-72.

God wants you to know that His covenant with you is still intact; it had not been destroyed by adversities, or shame, or taken away by the enemies of your soul and of your life. It had not been revoked or rendered ineffective in any way. The God who made it will establish it, the uprising against you will be brought down shamefully; the insults against you will turn to your blessings, the sittings and evil talks against you will at the end lift you up to where I had planned and also destined by my power for you. I made you; I know you; I will make you. For prayers, Click here
