AFTER YOU HAVE PRAYED, WATCH.

Be very sensitive, the moments, and days and years after prayer matter a lot to you and to God. If Satan could not stop you from praying effectively, He will try to stop you from receiving the answers to your prayers. The moments and days after prayers are critical moments and days in your life. Temptations will increase, insults will increase, the desire to retaliate evil for evil will increase, and Satan will give you several alternatives that seem like answers to your prayers from God. Be vigilant, humble, attentive and very alert. Satan allowed Jesus Christ to pray and fast for forty days and forty nights. Immediately after those lonely forty days and nights in the wilderness, Jesus became hungry and Satan showed up to offer his palliatives with the intent of preventing Him from receiving the answers to His prayers. “Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He was afterward an hungred. And when the tempter came to Him, he said ----.” Matthew 4:1-3

I want you to know that immediately after prayers, Satan will show up, temptation will escalate from within and without, it will come from people you know and people you do not know, you will be offered palliatives from Satan through his agents and you will be forced to want to seek compromised ways thereby destroying the chances of receiving answers to your prayers. But that is not the will of God for you and that is not the intent of your prayers in the first place. In prayers, your flesh, your mind, your thoughts, and your vision are engaged in spiritual battles against the forces of darkness seeking to distract you, disrupt you, to take control of you and stop your chances of praying through and praying effectively.

Have you ever prayed sincerely and walk according to the commands of His words thereafter in all of your ways, keeping your thoughts and mind and actions guarded by His power always? If yes, then the expectations presented to Him in those prayers will be fulfilled; the answer to your request will come and your joy of seeing them shall overflow. Our God indeed answers prayers and He does grant the request of His children. He answered Abraham’s prayers and granted his request. He answered Jabez’s prayers and granted his request, He answered Solomon’s prayers and granted his request, and with many other examples, I am confident He will answer your prayers and He will grant your request also. Prayer is communication with the God who hears us, with the God who loves us, with the God who saved us and is able and willing to bless and to keep us joyful and fulfilled.

Prayer is a spiritual exercise done physically, consciously, and purposely. It is done with intent beyond the physical powers of men, it is done with an expectation for a favorable result and it is done to prove the power and word of God in action. Irrespective of what and who you are, and irrespective of the type, manner, style of your prayers, if there is no expectation and no purpose in it, such prayer is a worthless exercise. We do not just wake up to pray; we actually pray because God wants us and asked us to pray; Because He asked us to present our petitions to Him; He asked us to call on Him, and He asked us to look unto Him. Did you know all religions request their followers to pray and practice praying always? Did you know every living being prays irrespective of the differences in the religion and believes and practice and even Satan wants his followers to also pray to him?

Prayer is not an ordinary act, not a fruitless exercise; it is a battle based on good expectations, it is an exercise based on trust and greater hope. Prayer is a spiritual sacrifice we offer to the God we know, trust, and follow; prayer shows our dependence on Him, our love for Him, our desires for Him, and prayer is an expression of our desire for physical wellbeing. It is because God asked us to pray and promised to do great and mighty things when we pray, that is the reason we pray and He will do what He says in His words. For prayers, Click here
