"IS GOD STILL IN CONTROL? (1)"

Post date: Apr 30, 2018 3:44:17 AM

There are so many questions in our hearts without answers; we have waited and still waiting for the expected answers according to God’s words, yet none is forthcoming, our patience is getting too long, we are getting frustrated, yet our expectations in Him are still very high and we are still holding on to the words of life and still asking the same answer every day, every month, every year and anytime we go on our knees to pray to the only God who will answer the questions and give us respite from our pains and sorrows. May I say to you today that despite the unanswered questions we have, despite the waiting period and the feelings we may have developed, the Almighty God who made us is still in control, the Almighty God who spoke to us is still active, the Almighty God who saved our souls through Christ Jesus still loving us, the Almighty God who forgave all our sins and washed us clean from all forms of past guilt is still merciful, the Almighty God who made the promises we hold is still able to do everything and the Almighty God whom we still hold as our only Lord and redeemer is still working in us, for us, and through us to accomplish His will and purpose on earth. His words and promises to you will not fail and He will do as He had said and you will see Him do it.

Your obedience to every word of God will be rewarded, your patience and waiting and trusting Him will not be in vain and your faithfulness to Him and to His words will bring rewards. Noah constructed the ark through obedience, entered it in obedience, and remained it with expectations that God will do what He said and God did. After forty days and forty nights of rain and flood, Noah must have asked is God still in control of this situation by His actions? “And God remembered and thought kindly of Noah and every living thing and all the animals that were with him in the ark, and God made a wind blow over the land, and the waters receded. Also, the fountains of the deep and the windows of the heavens were closed, the pouring rain from the sky was restrained, and the waters receded steadily from the earth. At the end of a hundred and fifty days, the waters had diminished. On the seventeenth day of the seventh month five months after the rain began, the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat in Turkey. The waters continued to decrease until the tenth month; on the first day of the tenth month, the tops of the mountains were seen. At the end of another forty days, Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made; and he sent out a raven, which flew here and there until the waters were dried up from the earth. Then Noah sent out a dove to see if the water level had fallen below the surface of the land. But the dove found no place on which to rest the sole of her foot and she returned to him to the ark, for the waters were still on the face of the entire earth. So he reached out his hand and took the dove, and brought her into the ark. He waited another seven days and again sent the dove out from the ark. The dove came back to him in the evening, and there, in her beak, was a fresh olive leaf. So Noah knew that the water level had subsided from the earth. Then he waited another seven days and sent out the dove, but she did not return to him again. Now in the six hundred and the first year of Noah’s life, on the first day of the first month, the waters were drying up from the earth. Then Noah removed the covering of the ark and looked, and the surface of the ground was drying. On the twenty-seventh day of the second month, the land was entirely dry. And God spoke to Noah, saying, go out of the ark, you and your wife and your sons and their wives with you.” Genesis 8:1-16.

God is thinking kindly of you, your frustrations will stop and the waters preventing you will recede, you will see your joy and expectations fulfilled, you will sing a new song and you will dance a new dance; your testimony will last long and your joy will be boundless. You will not only see the top, you will reach the top and be at the top. God will not let you down and He will not forget you or forget your obedience and your faithfulness. For prayers Click here
