DEAR LORD, PLEASE KEEP YOUR PROMISES

Post date: May 9, 2013 4:10:39 AM

The time and day of your fulfilled promises and lasting celebration will never be taken from you, never be overtaken by the works of any form of assigned evil, never be denied, and will never meet you unprepared. The day of the resurrection of Christ Jesus was never changed despite what the devil said and did, and despite what the soldiers and people said and did, it was never denied, never postponed and never overtaken by any other event. Despite what you are going through, I want you to remember that you serve the God who keeps promises to a thousand generations to them who completely trust in Him. Your day of victory has not change.

You may not have what you truly want in life, you may not be where you want to be, see what you want to see, you may not yet receive all that you have been promised by the Lord in His word, you may not yet receive all that you have diligently prayed and fasted for in life, and you may not be very comfortable as you desire right now in many ways, yet you are not just a number before our God, you are highly valued, highly respected and diligently preserved for greater things ahead. Despite your feelings and thoughts, you are a child of destiny and were truly redeemed with a precious prize to receive an eternal promise.

There are several things you should never forget as a Christian despite the everyday temptations, pains and trials; there are things you should always call to mind and keep handy at all times despite the annoying words from the pit of hell against you irrespective of the situation you may find yourself. Things like what the Lord had done before, things that He had enabled you to do before now, things that He had promised to do in your life and in the life of other Christians like you. Our God is a covenant keeper and always faithful to all of His promises. There are several testimonies the devil cannot, and will never be able to erase from the books of history.

When God called Moses, He referred him to the records of His acts in the life of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. That same God is calling you to reflect back, and to remember that you are sons and daughters of that same Abraham that you were specifically chosen by Him, and what He did for him, He can, and will do it for you also. Below is just one of such unforgettable testimonies:

“O seed of Abraham His servant, you children of Jacob, His chosen ones. He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth. He remembers His covenant forever, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations. The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac, and confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel as an everlasting covenant. Saying, to you I will give the land of Canaan As the allotment of your inheritance, When they were few in number, Indeed very few, and strangers in it. When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people, He permitted no one to do them wrong; Yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes. Saying, do not touch my anointed ones, And do My prophets no harm. Moreover He called for a famine in the land; He destroyed all the provision of bread. He sent a man before them, Joseph who was sold as a slave. They hurt his feet with fetters, He was laid in irons. Until the time that his word came to pass, the word of the Lord tested him. The king sent and released him, the ruler of the people let him go free. He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his possessions. To bind his princes at his pleasure, and teach his elders wisdom. Israel also came into Egypt; And Jacob dwelt in the land of Ham. He increased His people greatly, and made them stronger than their enemies. He turned their heart to hate His people, to deal craftily with His servants. He sent Moses His servant, And Aaron whom He had chosen. For He remembered His holy promise and Abraham His servant. He brought out His people with joy, His chosen ones with gladness. He gave them the lands of the Gentiles, and they inherited the labor of the nations, that they might observe His statutes and keep His laws. Praise the Lord.” Psalm 105:1-45.
