THE EVIL PAST IS GONE

Everyone is born to be successful but not everyone will succeed. Everyone will have an opportunity but not everyone will take advantage of them. Failure is not a design by God for anyone but everyone is not immune from failing. Failure is not the end of life but a beginning of appropriate corrections that will take you to your point of success. It is a time we need to pause and think, re-evaluate our ways and actions, make adequate corrections and move out again with greater determination. Do not end your dream at the point of your failure in life.

As we grow in age and in the Lord, as we pursue our dreams and desires, as we work to see God’s plans fulfilled in our lives and that of others, there will definitely be moments of joy and moments of sadness, moments of failure and moments of success, moments of peace and moments of confrontation, but despite all that we will ever see and experience, what we take along with us after every experience matters in shaping our life. There will be several memorable moments and you owe yourself the choice you make. There are several things to keep and several to discard. Life is full of several ups and downs and what we take along as we journey forward matters. God in His absolute wisdom may allow us to experience several things, but what we take along with us each day is our personal responsibility and they are very important.

Many people have a long list of past failures, disappointments; delay, victimization and frustration as their daily companion in their heart. Others have the memory of childhood abuses; spousal abuses, childhood and adulthood struggles and fears in their mind and they talk about them with ease, but cannot remember and talk about their good experiences. It will amaze you to know that bad things stay longer in the mind than good and they affects everything about you until you decide to do something positive about them. It is hard not to forget bad memories without making any effort, and it is hard to keep a good memory without making efforts.

Despite the greatness of God’s promises upon your life, what you keep recalling in your mind, remembering in your heart and verbalizing with your mouth will be manifested in the physical, consciously or unconsciously. There is no one without a frustration and a past, but there are people that frustration and their past cannot hinder their tomorrow. Moses was one of those.

When God called Moses, He gave him a new word to say, words that give joy to the future and not the past, words of hope and not frustration, words of joy and not of sorry, words the people of Israel had been waiting to hear, not words of Moses past struggles. From then on, Moses never mentioned his past or ever regret over it. He let go the past and embraced the future forever.

Your day of encounter with God should be the day of your total change. God wants to give you a new testimony, a new word to say and not the old one. Let your old self die with your old words by the actions you take after your salvation; let your new-self live by the words and memory you keep, verbalize and meditate on. Decide to begin keeping journals of the blessings and the promises of God, and keep yourself ever busy meditating and verbalizing and not that of your failures and disappointments. “And God said unto Moses, I Am That I Am: and he said, thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I Am hath sent me unto you. And God said moreover unto Moses, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, the Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, hath sent me unto you: this is my name for ever, and this is my memorial unto all generations.  Go, and gather the elders of Israel together, and say unto them, The Lord God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, appeared unto me, saying, I have surely visited you, and seen that which is done to you in Egypt: Exodus 3:14-16.  The God that gave Moses a new word will also give you a new word for the rest of your life in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. For prayers and encouragement during difficult times, someone is here to pray with you. Click here
