"IF ONLY YOU COULD, YOU WOULD (1)"

“While He was saying these things to them, a ruler, synagogue official entered the house and kneeled down and worshiped Him, saying, my daughter has just now died, but come and lay Your hand on her, and she will live. Jesus got up and began to accompany the ruler, with His disciples. Then a woman who had suffered from a hemorrhage for twelve years came up behind Him and touched the tassel fringe of His outer robe; for she had been saying to herself, if I only touch His outer robe, I will be healed. But Jesus turning and seeing her said, take courage, daughter; your personal trust and confident faith in Me has made you well. And at once the woman was completely healed. When Jesus came to the ruler’s house and saw the flute players who were professional, hired mourners and the grieving crowd making an uproar, He said, go away; for the girl is not dead, but is sleeping. And they laughed and jeered at Him. But when the crowd had been sent outside, Jesus went in and took her by the hand, and the girl got up. And the news about this spread throughout all that district. As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed Him, screaming loudly, have mercy and compassion on us, Son of David. When He went into the house, the blind men came up to Him, and Jesus said to them, do you believe with a deep, abiding trust that I am able to do this? They said to Him, yes, Lord. Then He touched their eyes, saying, according to your faith, your trust and confidence in My power and My ability to heal it will be done to you. And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them: see that no one knows this. But they went out and spread the news about Him throughout that whole district.” Matthew 9:18-31

Impossibility is the word intended to kill your dreams and hinder your desires and your best in the things that God had destined for you. Whoever speaks impossibilities and dwells on it will never give him or herself the chance to try exploring other things that God can do for and through you. There are many things in life and many situations that will tell you up front that you can’t even when you are determined to give it a try. These things will remind you of the experiences that you have had and that of others, but when the desire and dream and vision is of God and also corresponds to His plans and desires for you and your destiny, He will definitely make away that will take you through the knowledge and feelings and words of impossibility you have heard. The woman with the issue of blood had her impossibilities; she was weak after years of sickness and will not be able to push herself through the crowd, but she gave it a try after convincing herself that that was the only thing left for her to do to regain her health.

Did you notice the woman began by speaking to herself in her heart and in her privacy? Did you notice the word in heart was convincing enough to her understanding; did you notice it was her conviction that made her to be determined in carrying out the plan? Did you notice she was not afraid of what will happen to in the crowd despite her situation; she was not afraid to be pushed down or crushed by the pressure of the crowd, and she was not afraid of what people may say or do or react to her decision and her determination? After all the years of trial and failures, wastage of her resources, who told her she could still be healed? Who told her of the power in the garment of Jesus Christ, who preached to her? Who gave her such imagination and such meditation in her heart? And who gave her the courage to take a step of faith? If you could imagine what God will do for you through salvation, if you meditate on those things consistently, if you will have the determination and strong conviction in your heart that God is true and will do it, you would take the step to do it if you are determined enough to give it a try despite the challenges before you. This woman had memories of her past efforts and past failure; she knows she had spent all she had, and yet she did not decide to give up trying, and she said to herself, ‘if I only touch His outer robe, I will be healed’ and when she did, she was healed.
