DEAR GOD OF ABRAHAM AND SARAH

“Sarah said, God has brought me laughter, and everyone who hears about this will laugh with me. And she added, who would have said to Abraham that Sarah would nurse children? Yet I have borne him a son in his old age.” Genesis 21:6-7. What have you said recently about yourself, about the many years you have been on God on a promise? Waiting on Gob about your dreamed Job, your promised spouse, your children, your finances and well-being  Abraham and Sarah said something in their time, but God still showed His faithfulness and commitment to His words.

Abraham and Sarah thought it was all over for them with regards to having a child after seeing the signs and knowing the effects of their old age upon their expectations. They thought the promises made by God concerning a child will never come true though they saw God in other areas of their lives doing marvelous things, but for a child, it was a wait they desperately wanted to see an end to, and they started making alternative arrangement to satisfy that desire.

It is good to believe God continually in all things, in all seasons, and to absolutely trust that He will never fail even when there is an untold delay in the fulfillment of any of His promises. Your God will never be frustrated in any matter under the sun; He will never be delayed by the powers that be anywhere; He cannot be prevented by physical or medical condition or by any doctor or counselor’s report concerning you. He is out to bless you and to fulfill all that He had said to you through your dreams, visions and the revelations that are confirmed in the scriptures as true.

It is good to keep the word of God fixed in your heart and on your lips and to take the same along with you every day, everywhere you go and to apply it on everything you do. There is a great transforming power wherever the word of God is freely allowed to have its way in the affairs on men. David said the word of God was a lamp that led him in the things he was called upon to do as a first as a child in the forest, as a servant in the court with Saul as king, in the things he was anointed to do as a servant of God, as a king and as a leader in Israel. The day you separate yourself from the words of God for your life, that same day you also separate yourself from God’s destiny for your life and from reaching the very peak of God’s calling upon your life in whatever profession He had called you into and enabled you all these years. Psalm 119:105-108 “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments. I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O Lord, according unto thy word. Accept, I beseech thee, the freewill offerings of my mouth, O Lord, and teach me thy judgments.”

It is good to remind yourself of the power of God to accomplish all that He had ever said to you even when you are very weak, discouraged, frustrated in waiting and even when you are a constant victim of injustice and abuse by men. The power of God is beyond the comprehension of men and there is nothing any man can do to stop God when He steps out to accomplish His will. Old age could not stop God from opening the womb of Sarah and enabling the couple to have the promised child, Isaac. Doctor’s scientific and very accurate evaluation of the issue at stake cannot stop God’s power from acting in your life to change what need to be changed and to fulfill the will of God as promised.

It is good to know that God is God in all things and nothing can be compared to Him despite the opinions, views and words of men. God will never change who He is and what He is. He is never afraid of anyone anywhere. He is known by His words and His words are forever in whatever He had spoken about, they cannot be changed and they can never be substituted for anything else for any reason. He did for Abraham and Sarah, He will do yours. For prayers Click here
