THE HILLTOP PRAYER

Post date: Nov 5, 2012 7:44:15 AM

There is hope in Christ Jesus, there is freedom, there is forgiveness, there is salvation and there is also restoration. There is no one who will come to Him, remain in Him that He will let down. In Him are all dreams possible, all desires accomplished and all joy restored. With Him are all things possible. Without any doubt in my heart, I know that the road to physical and spiritual restoration is laced with great pitfalls by the devil to draw such a person back to the pits of pains and frustrations of failure. The devil does not desire your freedom and is always sad and furious when you make any attempt to be free, while God desires and always delights in your freedom and restoration in life because of His love. To make that restoration fast, comfortable and possible, He opened the door for us to call on Him in prayer.

Irrespective of your past experience and what men say to you, prayer works, and praying together is relieving and powerful. “Is anyone among you sick? He should call in the church elders (the spiritual guides). And they should pray over him, anointing him with oil in the Lord’s name. And the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.” James 14-15

Prayer is a call to heaven for intervention in the affairs of men on earth; it makes difficult things easy and opens the door for our victory and joy, it helps us along the way for full restoration and achievement in life. Nothing else restores the confidence and hope of believers than prayers.

This is how prayers worked for Joshua when he faces a very formidable task of overcoming and defeating the enemy. “Then came Amalek [descendants of Esau] and fought with Israel at Rephidim. And Moses said to Joshua, Choose us out men and go out, fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the rod of God in my hand. So Joshua did as Moses said and fought with Amalek; and Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the hilltop. When Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed; and when he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed. But Moses’ hands were heavy and grew weary. So [the other men] took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Then Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side and one on the other side; so his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. And Joshua mowed down and disabled Amalek and his people with the sword. And the Lord said to Moses, Write this for a memorial in the book and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under the heavens.” Exodus 17:8-14

That was a cooperate effort by Moses, Aaron and Hur to enable Joshua achieve that which God had destined for Israel and her people. This is the time for you to prayerfully design, say, pray and be prepared for the year 2013. We must not be taken unaware, we must not be taken back, we must not fail and we must make great progress, seeing our dreams working for us.

“And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us.  And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him” 1 John 5:14-15

When we pray, God gives us answer, restores and blesses us and the enemy recedes while we progress, we gain clarity and confidence in what is ahead for us, we boldness and joy in looking ahead. We are beginning our hilltop prayer tag, declaring my life in 2013 and will continue till the year goes down in history. We are praying with all assurance, all joy and with all expectation and trust that we will receive answer to our prayers and see a better, progressive and fulfilling 201. Those dreams will never die in us. The first of this prayer is coming on November 15-18 2012. Send your request Click here
