AS WE PRAY

Before being the King of Israel, David was known as a shepherd boy and someone who sings praises on his string instrument. He did this in the forest while tending to his father’s sheep even when nothing was at stake for him to do that. He was so consistent that people noticed his actions, but none was able to reward him, or redeem him from his deplorable condition. Did you know that no acts of yours will ever go without God noticing it and noticing you? If men will fail to help you, God will never fail in helping, if men are unable to reward you, God will never fail in rewarding you, and when He does, He will do excellently. Consistency does not only result in mastery, it also carries a reward that is bigger than the actions. There is bigger reward in consistency. When God recognized David’s actions, He sent Samuel to anoint him as king, not in the forest where the acts were done, but in his father’s house for others to a witness.

David did not give up his activities after the anointing but continued and even added a new value and dimension to it, the attitude of consistent prayers to his already familiar attitude of praise. When God recognizes your private and public activities, He will separate you from the crowd for His own purpose as He did with David in the forest, no matter the odd against you and the people and things fighting to hinder and stop you, your prayers can make a difference. David was in the forest praising God with his instruments when nothing was at stake for him doing that. He did not allow his physical condition, location, activities and the attacks from the lions and the bears to stop him. Please do not give up, do not allow anything to stop you from doing what is right and acceptable to God, God is taking note of you and He will reward you handsomely.

The scripture says. “And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint. So then, as occasion and opportunity open up to us, let us do good [morally] to all people [not only being useful or profitable to them, but also doing what is for their spiritual good and advantage]. Be mindful to be a blessing, especially to those of the household of faith [those who belong to God’s family with you, the believers]. Galatians 6:9-10. And as for you, brethren, do not become weary or lose heart in doing right [but continue in well-doing without weakening]. 2 Thessalonians 3:13 (AMP)

Because of the recognition by God, David was no longer remembered as the shepherd boy but the king, and because he added value of prayer to praise, the God who recognized and raise him up from being a shepherd boy to being the king defended him against every of his enemies wherever he went. Prayer can do greater things than we will ever imagine, there is no condition that prayer cannot change, no location that prayer cannot reach, no individual that prayer cannot touch and transform, and no battle that prayer cannot adequately addressed and grant success. Prayers make dream very effective, it is the breeze that turns our heats into flame for the world to see, sustained our desires for godliness, and forces the enemies to either retreat or face a humiliating defeat. God honors and answers our prayers in various ways.

God recognized David before anointing him, and men help him to the place of his destiny after the anointing, and prayers sustained him throughout his reign as king with numerous victories against all of his enemies and his hindrances. This is our time and this is our appointed season to pray until the expected help, change and reward comes. Let us be known by our deliberate act of prayers and praise by God and men, let us add good values to ourselves and to our Christianity. The God of David is with us, He will answer, He will sustain, and He will bless us as He did to David. Please use Psalm 18:1-50 for this prayer. We will end with joy, praise, victory and great reward. Please join me in our “Tear down this wall” second phase prayer, August 8-10. Someone is here to pray with you. Submit your prayer request.
