YE SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF ABRAHAM

“The Lord had said to Abram, leave your native country, your relatives, and your father’s family, and go to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation. I will bless you and make you famous, and you will be a blessing to others. I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt. All the families on earth will be blessed through you. So Abram departed as the Lord had instructed, and Lot went with him. Abram was seventy-five years old when he left Haran. He took his wife, Sarai, his nephew Lot, and all his wealth, his livestock and all the people he had taken into his household at Haran, and headed for the land of Canaan. When they arrived in Canaan, Abram traveled through the land as far as Shechem. There he set up camp beside the oak of Moreh. At that time, the area was inhabited by Canaanites. Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, I will give this land to your descendants. And Abram built an altar there and dedicated it to the Lord, who had appeared to him.” Genesis 12:1-7

God did not chose Israel without a well-designed plan for them to follow, and God did not chose you to be His own without a plan and a design that will lead to your being blessed and fulfilled; He did not call Abraham out of his fathers’ house for nothing, it was intentionally and purposely, to separate for Himself a people He will call His own forever, a people He will forever admire and cherish, a people He will have a lasting relationship with till eternity comes. Just as He did with Abraham, God called you intentionally and purposely, He separated you to be His own, to inherit all that He has, to cherish and bless you, and to take you to prepared place.

Despite all the troubles in his life, the homelessness, the childlessness, the disappointment with Lot, the treats from the king, and the mistakes he made, Abraham was a resounding success, his testimony are everlastingly sweet to tell, and his name can never be wiped out from the book of life by any demon irrespective of its status and power. You are sons and you are daughters of that same Abraham, the one that was called out of his father’s house with a divine promise, the Abraham who diligently followed the instructions in the called and who gave all his heart and might to follow the Lord, your situation had not separated you from being the sons and daughter of Abraham and nothing will stop you from inheriting the blessings of Abraham.

When God called Abraham, He gave him a promise, He gave him an assurance, He gave him a guide, and He gave him a hope. God did not call you without a divine promise and He had not left you without one. The current situation had not changed God’s promises for you and your later trouble will not hinder His plans from being fulfilled. Abraham had a past when he was called, but his past did not prevent his future based on the call of God. Irrespective of your past and your current situation, the divine promise of God for you will take you to God’s divine place to be established and made strong. Every divine promise has a divine hand working to fulfill them, and every divine promises carries a Godly authority that is respected even by Satan.

When God called Abraham, He gave him an assurance saying ‘I will bless those who bless you and curse those who treat you with contempt’. Abraham never walked about looking for men to bless him, but God was looking for men who bless Abraham so He could reciprocate the blessing upon their lives. May be all along people had been treating badly, cursing you, and putting you shame and hardship, God said He will surely ray them soon. But their curse will not stop the promise of God from being fulfilled in your life.

God gave Abraham a hope when He told him you will have a son and will call his name Isaac, Abraham lived with that hope for twenty five years without doubting and dishing the hope because of delay and old age, and at the appointed time, God showed up and the hope was made manifest. By God’s grace and your power, your hope in His promises will be made manifest for the world to see in Jesus Name. Amen. For prayers, Click here
