The worst-case scenario you are facing is about to be turned around. If you want something new and different from the usual you are going through now, you must do something quite different with your thoughts and actions now, you must learn and know and follow something new, and you must begin to walk in obedience to the words and principles of the Almighty God. It is very certain that everything will definitely change, and it is also very certain that the word and all His good plans and purposes will never change irrespective of the forces, the people and the powers of darkness rising and standing up against it in your life. I have absolute faith in the word of God that it is exactly what God wants in our lives, what God says concerning us and what God wants us to have and has destined us to have them. God did not fail Abram what He promised. His word came to pass and Abram saw it and rejoiced and celebrated it. Your day of celebration is coming as you decide to follow God in obedience to His words.

There will always be a greater reward for every obedience shown in God’s words. Delays of any number of years, hardships and afflictions from the pit of hell will not stop the reward from coming when the time comes. Nothing did stop the rewards of Abraham and nothing will stop yours. Abram started with the word he heard, followed it up with years of faithfulness and obedience, and when God wanted to expand and reward him according to His words despite twenty-five years of delay and despite Abram’s and Sarah’s old age, God changed his name and said; “When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, I am God Almighty. Obey me and do what is right. I will make an agreement between us and I will make you the ancestor of many people. Then Abram bowed face down on the ground. God said to him, I am making my agreement with you, I will make you the father of many nations. I am changing your name from Abram to Abraham because I am making you a father of many nations. I will give you many descendants. New nations will be born from you, and kings will come from you.  And I will make an agreement between me and you and all your descendants from now on. I will be your God and the God of all your descendants. You live in the land of Canaan now as a stranger, but I will give you and your descendants all this land forever, and I will be the God of your descendants.” Genesis 17:1-8

When God wanted to do something new in the life of Jacob after all he went through in the hands of his master Laban, He changed his name to Israel. “Then the man said, your name will no longer be Jacob. Your name will now be Israel, because you have wrestled with God and with people, and you have won.” Genesis 32:28. When God wanted to do something new in the life of Simon, He changed his name to Cephas, Rock. John 1:42. A change is coming for you, a change that will be physical and spiritual, a change that will reflect your new life in Christ and your new position in His plans, a change that will tell the world of what is God doing in, through, and with you. He may not change your name as He did for Abram and Jacob, but He will change you for His sake and purpose on earth. “You will be like a beautiful crown of majesty in the Lord’s hand, like a king’s crown in your God’s hand. You will never again be called the people that God Left, abandoned or deserted, nor your land the land that God destroyed. You will be called the people God Love, and your land will be called the bride of God because the Lord loves you. And your land will belong to Him as a bride belongs to her husband.” Isaiah 62:3-4

Will you rise and take bold steps in obedience to God even when that differs greatly from your dreams, knowledge, and expectations? Samuel told King Saul, ‘To obey is better than sacrifices’ Obeying God is rewarding and is better than several days of prayers, several years of fasting, and better than promising dreams you know can change your life. It was not difficult for Abram to obey God and it was not hard for God to grant him the promise. For prayers, Click here
