HIGHEST COMMENDATION

John the Baptist was a man who lived to fulfill all that was said of him from day one on both in the Old Testament and in the New Testament. He was born to a dedicated praying parents who had long abandoned their expectations of a child due to time lapse and old age, but God did not abandon their expectation in Him, their earlier request and did not overlook their continuous dedication and commitment to serve, despite what they thought was a disappointment and their age.

Did you know that in every situation, time is only a complex calculation by men? Did you know that God has His own time despite our feelings of disappointments and frustrations on a particular request? Did you know that God never forgets our request even when we forget to persist because of passage of time? Did you know delay and denials are only the handwork of men, and that God can overrule them all at His time? Did you know that God will still perform all His promises to you when you faithfully continue in His services and dedicated to doing His will? The God you serve has an unforgettable memory of you and of your services to Him, and will reward you accordingly in due time.

John the Baptist grew up and through absolute dedication and focus in life and ministry, fulfilled all that was prophesied to his parents by the Lord concerning him. Working in the prophetic utterances about you is one of the greatest things you will ever do, but you should be mindful of what will come after you, pride, but God will always hold you up.

This man was greatly resisted but he fearlessly persisted. He was confronted by evil to deter him, but he refused to surrender his allegiance. He had no church of his own; no permanent dwelling place to call a home, no change or choice food to show a class, and no assorted garments for a change. He was arrested for telling the truth, insisting on it and for opposing evil; but despite all he never up gave doing what he was born and called to do. You cannot walk on shifting grounds with the Lord and expect His blessings. He sees your everyday dedication, your consistent resistance and struggles agaisnt evil, your persistence on the truth even when it hurts you, your everyday desires to be what He wants you to be, and He will definitely reward you accordingly.

This man was arrested, imprisoned, and killed just to satisfy the increasing desires of the lovers of wickedness, and people with perverse mind who will always resist the truth, and will ever remain to be satisfied with the reward, and continuation of evil despite its adverse effect and warnings in the scriptures. The bible says we should not be scared by what such people will do, but should continue in our daily activities that glorifies our Lord Jesus Christ. “And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; but rather be afraid of Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell” Matthew 10:28 (AMP)

Even in the prison, John the Baptist nursed the idea of his freedom through Christ Jesus. Though this desire was not fulfilled, and despite the actions of the wicked, he earned one of the very best and highest recommendations from our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. “This is the one of whom it is written, Behold, I send My messenger ahead of You, who shall make ready Your way before You. Truly I tell you, among those born of women there has not risen anyone greater than John the Baptist; yet he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time, the kingdom of heaven has endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force [as a precious prize a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion]” Matthew 11:10-12 (AMP)

Your hope may fail, but our God will never fail. You may forget your request and desires because of the passage of time, but our God will never forget you, evil may have triumph today, but final victory is still in our Lord Jesus Christ for you. Delays and frustrations are not signs that God’s has forgotten you.
