HELP LORD, I HAVE PRAYED

God encourages all Christians to pray with a promise to answer and to show greater thing thereafter. Prayer is as important to Christians as every other thing is important and you should never be tired of praying, never give up praying and never lost faith in our prayers. You may be physically weak, disappointed, discouraged and betrayed, but your prayers are not, you may not able to communicate all your desires effectively in your prayers, but the ones you were able to communicate can produce far greater reward than expected, besides, God knows all your intent before you begin to pray. Prayer produces great results, they are always very active and effective in the physical and in the spiritual, and they cannot be hindered by any barrier in any location.

Those that are fervent in prayers should not fear the cross thereafter, the sufferings to come and the intimidation from the pit of hell irrespective of its severity. Remember, the devil will be able to try you in many ways, he will be able accuse you of many things, he will be able to abuse you in the most inhuman way, he will be able to intimidate you day and night and everywhere, he will be able to delay and frustrate your dreams and efforts, he will be able to make you look like a big fool even in things you know very well, he will be able to humiliate you before people of all ages and professions, he will be able to take your peace away and rob you of the best of the things you desire, but one is certain, despite what he is able to do to you, he will never be able defeat you or separate you from the love of God who saved and separated you from all others.

“Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us. For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:37-39

Christ Jesus our Lord and only savior is the very best example we can emulate in everything we will ever do as Christians. When the time of suffering drew near after entering Jerusalem which was contrary to the expectations of the religious leader and government in His time; despite His very busy schedule, He set aside a time to earnestly seek the face of God the Father in prayer in the garden of Gethsemane; He called for and also solicited prayer from all the disciples with Him.

These were His prayers: “Pray that you may not enter into temptation. And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw and knelt down and prayed, Saying, Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done. And there appeared to Him an angel from heaven, strengthening Him in spirit. And being in an agony of mind, He prayed all the more earnestly and intently, and His sweat became like great clots of blood dropping down upon the ground. And when He got up from prayer, He came to the disciples and found them sleeping from grief, And He said to them, Why do you sleep? Get up and pray that you may not enter into temptation. And while He was still speaking, behold, there came a crowd, and the man called Judas, one of the twelve apostles, was going before leading them. He drew near to Jesus to kiss Him, But Jesus said to him, Judas. Would you betray and deliver up the Son of Man with a kiss? And when those who were around Him saw what was about to happen, they said, Lord, shall we strike with the sword?” Luke 22:40-49

Christ Jesus prayed before the cross, but did not receive the answer of His prayers before the cross but after the cross. Do not cry when you do not see the immediate answer to your prayers, God had given you the expected victory and it will be manifested before or after the cross. Your cross may be heavy, it will crush you, it may be painful, but it will not destroy you, it may be shameful but it will glorify God and bless your life hereafter. You are at the threshold of answered prayers. Even on the cross, it is not late for God’s answer. For prayer Click here
