"DEAR LORD, I AM BEING MOCKED (02)"

Post date: May 30, 2018 3:49:05 AM

The righteous are going through things they never thought will happen to them and the world is mocking them for those things and God is not going to keep silent. You are directly or indirectly mocked for not having what they have; for not being what they want; for not seeing with them in their desires and expectations. You are mocked for being poor; for your small or lack of growth or lack of success in the things you do or in your church or fellowships; for not associating with them; for believing in God and trusting Him alone for your expectations, needs and desires, and you are mocked for being a bible believing Christian. You are mocked for reasons you do not even know and you are mocked for not succeeding despite your years of efforts and prayers, and willingness to commit yourself to doing what is required and right before God. You are mocked for not having the kind of money they have; for not being married despite your age and location; for not having a profitable job offer after years of education, learning and discipline; for being obedient to God and not participating in evil within your organization; for being humble and showing godly humility everytime and everywhere; and you are mocked because they think God had forgotten you, but they will fail in their thoughts and in their actions against you.

King David was mocked because he knew God, trusted God and delighted in Him. Job was mocked because he became poor and sick and many others. This what David said: “O Lord, where are Your former lovingkindnesses, which You swore to David in Your faithfulness? Remember, O Lord, the reproach of Your servants, scorned, insulted, and disgraced; how I bear in my heart the reproach of all the many peoples, with which Your enemies have taunted, O Lord, with which they have mocked the footsteps of Your anointed. But I am treated as a worm insignificant and powerless and not a man; I am the scorn of men and despised by the people. All who see me laugh at me and mock me; they insultingly open their lips, they shake their head, saying, he trusted and committed himself to the Lord, let Him save him. Let Him rescue him because He delights in Him.” Psalms 89:49-51; Psalms 22:6-8.

King David concluded with this important prayer: “Do not let those who wait confidently for You be ]ashamed through me, O Lord God of hosts; do not let those who seek You as necessary for life itself be dishonored through me, O God of Israel, because for Your sake I have borne reproach; confusion and dishonor have covered my face. I have become estranged from my brothers and an alien to my mother’s sons. For zeal for Your house has consumed me, and the mocking insults of those who insult You have fallen on me. When I wept and humbled myself with fasting, it became my reproach. When I made sackcloth my clothing as one in mourning, I became a byword, a mere object of scorn to them. They who sit in the city’s gate talk about me and mock me, and I am the song of the drunkards. But as for me, my prayer is to You, O Lord, at an acceptable and opportune time; O God, in the greatness of Your favor and in the abundance of Your lovingkindness, answer me with truth, the faithfulness of Your salvation. Rescue me from the mire and do not let me sink; let me be rescued from those who hate me and from the deep waters. Do not let the floodwater overwhelm me, nor the deep waters swallow me up, nor the pit shut its mouth over me.Answer me, O Lord, for Your lovingkindness is sweet and good and comforting; according to the greatness of Your compassion, turn to me.” Psalms 69:6-16. Despite their mocking, our God is alive and changing situation; blessing people, taking away their captivities and breaking the yokes that had made people to mock them.

I am trusting the Almighty God for you and in your case of mockery and insults. I know He will not put you to shame as intending by the mockers or allow your afflictions to continue, our God forever merciful and compassionate. For prayers Click here
