HOW DO I KNOW?

Post date: Oct 1, 2012 4:27:52 AM

God made man to be inquisitive from creation, and being just what we were made and born to be had helped to advance the living standard of man and will continue to do so in all areas. The more human beings know about certain things, the more they want to know other things associated with it. One of the advantages of knowledge is that it creates more knowledge, and the disadvantage of knowledge is that it leaves people looking for or exploring for more. God had not placed any limit to man’s learning ability and knowledge. Learning creates knowledge and knowledge brings advancement and confidence. Did you know that God wants you to know more? Did you know that there are many things that men had not been able to unravel through learning? The things that are yet to be revealed to men belong to God, but those that are revealed belong to man, and it is expected that we will make good use of them. “The secret things belong unto the Lord our God, but the things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all of the words of this law.” Deuteronomy 29:29. Whatever is hidden by God are for the exclusive use to His children and He will reveal them to you to fulfill His purpose His purpose in you.

Everyone desires knowledge in whatever they do, desires to know the secret of success, the reasons of their failure, lack, depression, frustration and pains. Everyone wants to know what to do next to be on the advantage and to receive the promises of God. Knowledge is good and desirable, but knowledge that does not translate to success is not profitable. Success in all endeavors is sweet and desirable and I pray that you will have them.

One of the greatest sources of knowledge that guarantees being successful in what you do and generate great self-confidence in every area of your activities is in the knowledge of what God’s words said of you in every situation. Paul was told by Festus in Acts 26:24 that “And as he thus proceeded with his defense, Festus called out loudly, Paul, you are mad. Your great learning is driving you insane” when actually he was never insane but very confident of what he was saying because of his absolute belief in the word of God.

Now the question; how do you know you are saved? The word of God declares it and your action confirms it. “For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms his salvation.” Romans 10:10. “For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life.” John 3:16

How do you know you are healed? It is not in the feelings, but it is in word of God. “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him. Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” 1 John 5:14-15, Isaiah 53:4-5

How do you know you will be victorious? The word of God declares it. “But no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall show to be in the wrong. This [peace, righteousness, security, triumph over opposition] is the heritage of the servants of the Lord [those in whom the ideal Servant of the Lord is reproduced]; this is the righteousness or the vindication which they obtain from Me [this is that which I impart to them as their justification], says the Lord.” Isaiah 54:17.
