OH GOD OF SHADRACH, MESHACH AND ABED-NEGO

Post date: Mar 27, 2014 4:01:54 AM

You may think you are alone in all your struggles in life, you may think no one is even interested in your affairs and no one is helping you; though no one is interested in you, none is coming out to help you secretly or openly, none is speaking for you and none is showing you mercy, the Lord God Almighty, the everlasting true God in heaven is very much interested in everything that concerns you and He will surely do what He did to this three men.

You may be thinking God is not watching over you because of your persistence struggles in life year in and year out; though no one sees you, no one watches over you, no one recognizes your contributions, your payers and your loving kindness despite all your best efforts in life since you began, the Lord God Almighty, the everlasting true God watches over you in every situation and in every location. He sees what you are doing and He sees what people are doing to and against you. He hears all of your prayers, sees all your demonstration of faith, He recognizes all the years of your unyielding confidence in His words, name, and He will reward you in all.

Though answers to your prayers are not forth as expected, God had not leave you alone; though the every treats of the enemies are loud and deafening, causing discomfort and fear, though today looks darker than yesterday and tomorrow seems to too far away, God had not left you alone in whatever you are going through right now despite the pains, the frustrations, the loneliness, the lack of breakthrough and the hunger.

Though Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were thrown into the fire, to the amazement of the king and all the onlookers, despite their thought and assurance of their success against them, the fire had no power to carry out their wicked intent over them. The God who was with them in the fire and rendered the fire completely ineffective, is also with you today; the fire in your life today will not consume you and will not destroy you. God is there with you till the very end.

The God who was with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego is still alive and very active. Though their prayers were not answered as they initially expected, their confidence was intact. Do not give up your confidence because of delays and unanswered prayers. The King and people of Babylon did what they wanted, and God did what He knows and intends to do for His children.

“And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the burning fiery furnace. Then Nebuchadnezzar the king [saw and] was astounded, and he jumped up and said to his counselors, did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered, True, O king. He answered, Behold, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt! And the form of the fourth is like a son of the gods. Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, you servants of the Most High God, come out and come here. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out from the midst of the fire. And the satraps, the deputies, the governors, and the king’s counselors gathered around together and saw these men that the fire had no power upon their bodies, nor was the hair of their head singed; neither were their garments scorched or changed in color or condition, nor had even the smell of smoke clung to them. Then Nebuchadnezzar said, blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, Who has sent His angel and delivered His servants who believed in, trusted in, and relied on Him. And they set aside the king’s command and yielded their bodies rather than serve or worship any god except their own God. Therefore I make a decree that any people, nation, and language that speaks anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego shall be cut in pieces and their houses be made a dunghill, for there is no other God who can deliver in this way. Then the king promoted Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in the province of Babylon.” Daniel 3:23-30. For prayers, Click here
