WHAT ARE YOUR PREFERENCES?

Post date: Apr 3, 2015 3:57:42 AM

On a faithful day, the Son of man, the Son of God, our only Lord and savior Jesus Christ, who came purposely to do good on earth, to save all humanity from the wickedness of Satan, to restore man to God, restore the broken relationship between God and man; to restore the spirit of love, faithfulness, understanding, godliness and obedience to the hearts of men was falsely accused and forcefully taken before a judge called Pilate by his accusers which including priests, their congregations, government officials, religious leaders, religious worker and many spectators who expressed their preference opening, crucify Him, crucify Him!

On that day, they preferred to follow the pleading and leading of their leaders rather than the leading of God and their conscience; they preferred to accept lies rather than the truth; they preferred to perverse their lives and kill the innocent; they preferred to be known as men of the people rather than being men of God; they preferred to be on the side of the people rather being on the side of God; they preferred to be seen as working with the acceptance of the people rather than being seen as working on the side of God; they preferred to remain in the darkness of their minds and heart rather than allow the light of God to shine in their minds and in their hearts; they preferred to partner with thieves rather than partner with the righteous; they preferred a convicted murderer to be freed rather than the innocent. Their preference is past, your preference is here. Do you prefer the word of God or the words of men? Do you prefer the bitter truth or the sweet lies? Do you accept the Jesus Christ and His teachings? Your preference matters.

“And straightway in the morning the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council, and bound Jesus, and carried him away, and delivered him to Pilate. And Pilate asked him, Art thou the King of the Jews? And he answering said unto them, Thou sayest it. And the chief priests accused him of many things: but he answered nothing. And Pilate asked him again, saying, answerest thou nothing? Behold how many things they witness against thee. But Jesus yet answered nothing; so that Pilate marvelled. Now at that feast he released unto them one prisoner, whomsoever they desired. And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection. And the multitude crying aloud began to desire him to do as he had ever done unto them. But Pilate answered them, saying, Will ye that I release unto you the King of the Jews? For he knew that the chief priests had delivered him for envy. But the chief priests moved the people, that he should rather release Barabbas unto them. And Pilate answered and said again unto them, What will ye then that I shall do unto him whom ye call the King of the Jews? And they cried out again, Crucify him. Then Pilate said unto them, why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, crucify him. And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified.” Mark 15:1-15

Ever since the heart of Adam and Eve were corrupted in the Garden of Eden through deception by Satan, the seed of evil is still growing in the hearts of men and in the world till this day, and men had not been fried from its consequences. Though God gave men the freedom of choice, yet that freedom had not liberated any one without Christ Jesus. Irrespective of the views of men around the world, their beliefs, actions, thoughts, and daily practices, Jesus Christ came to the world to save sinners, He came into the world to do the will of the Father, He came into the world to save, to deliver and to lead you and I into the presence of the Almighty Father through our preference and acceptance. The world might still refuse to prefer Him, they may still be hooked up with Barabbas, but “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” John 1:12.
