BEFORE YOU CARRY THAT CROSS

Post date: Mar 22, 2016 12:48:46 AM

Before you carry your cross, remember that Christ Jesus carried His not because He was a sinner but for all of us sinners in the entire world past, present and future; remember in the process of Him carrying that cross, He endued pains, shame, mockery, humiliation, abuse and the mockery of men, but He also had a good and resounding everlasting victory thereafter. Before you carry your cross, be certain of the experience that will follow thereafter; be certain of what men will personally say and do and forced on you, and most importantly, know that you will not carry that cross indefinitely. Christ Jesus did not carry His own indefinitely and know that the reward after the cross will far outclass all the pains, all the sorrows, all the shame, all the humiliations, all the mockery and whatever men in their power and position will ever force on you. Know also that the reward of carrying the cross does not come before or during, it comes after. I am certain that God will not deny you the grace to successfully carry the cross you are meant to carry and will not fail to reward you with and everlasting victory as He for our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.

The suffering on the cross you are called to carry is not indefinite and not hopeless irrespective of its weights, its pains, its shame, its humiliation and all the mockery of men with and without god in their hearts; the cross of your life is not without an end, not without a divine assurance, not without a divine grace, not without a divine purpose and not without a reward that only God in His love and mercy can and will give to you. There is hope in every cross that a true believer in Jesus Christ is called to carry and there will be His divine presence with you everyday and everywhere you go and in everything you are required to do. Not until heaven speaks to you on a particular issue in life, do not give up believing God for a miracle, do not give up seeking a change that will glorify Him, do not give up trusting Him for a turn around, do not stop hoping for divine intervention, and do not stop trying your very best in the physical and in the spiritual, knowing that there was once a man who carried a cross, was killed buried and resurrected and another resurrection is on its way soon for you as you carry your cross.

God is never asking us to carry our cross and follow Him and remain hopeless in our thoughts, minds and actions in every situation, but we are to carry our crosses with hope, assurance in the result and in the reward and to keep following Christ Jesus, we are not called to turn back from following Him because of our crosses and its effects on us. Every ones cross is unique and very different from that of others, but before you carry the cross, seek to know the purpose, and the reasons for the cross you about to carry; seek to weigh the cost you are required to pay, seek to know the gain you will make by carrying it, seek to know what you will loss in carrying it and what you will loss in refusing. Not all crosses carries a gain and not all will result in a loss, but it is good to have the true knowledge of the cross you are about to carry. Jesus Christ carried the cross of the world with full knowledge of what it was meant for, what it will cost Him, what the reward would be, what He will loss in carrying and what He will loss if He refuses.

Every cross has a price “Then Jesus said to His disciples, if anyone wishes to follow Me as My disciple, he must deny himself set aside selfish interests, and take up his cross expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come and follow Me believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me. For whoever wishes to save his life in this world will eventually lose it through death, but whoever loses his life in this world for My sake will find it that is, life with Me for all eternity. For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world wealth, fame, success, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? For the Son of Man is going to come in the glory and majesty of His Father with His angels, and then He will repay each one in accordance with what he has done.” Matthew 16:24-27.
