Wherever you may be in life right now, whatever your profession may be, whatever the situation may also be, irrespective of your race, your language and your gender, the word of the Lord to you today is be still; being still means irrespective of the rage of what you are passing through in that same situation, it will definitely not consume you; it means God is not looking the other way as people may think assume, He is not ignoring you as you think and He is not going to watch the devil take undue advantage over you, and He will not allow him to have victory over you.

It is very rare these days to see calmness in the lives of many Christians even when the scripture tell us to be calm in our spirit and in our bodies. In almost everywhere and even in the church, among believers and church leaders, you see lots of troubled souls, great agitations, worries, fears and confusions. In almost every street in every nation you see troubling situations that are quite contrary to what the scriptures says, and you see actions that do not follow the teachings from the word of God because of the trouble. You see worries and the result of worries in the lives of the people, and yet the scripture says, be still even in your troubles and you see what the Lord is doing. Many believers have lost the spirit of calmness and it is time for us to call on God again to restore that spirit back to us.

Be still or calm in times of any kind of trouble and great confusion does not mean you are weak and incapable to come to a decision quick and act on it; it does not mean your God is weak and is incapable to intervene in your case. Definitely in most cases and in almost all situations, we have the knowledge of what exactly to do irrespective of the result that we will have. Even when our previous effort had not yielded any good result and there is no guarantee that our next effort by the power of our thoughts, our abilities and the help we receive from people in that direction will give us a better result. It is a fact that everyone have a need and everyone has an assumed result, but the word of the Lord is that, let your needs not become a problem to you, and if it becomes one, be still and He will sort them put for you in due time.

God will never ask you to do that which is impossible for you, He had not ask you to be troubled in your soul, in your mind, in your heart, and in every situation; when He says be still, it means you can do it, the decision is yours and when you decide according to His words, He will also give you the result according to His plans and will for your life. Be troubled for nothing and in everything to trust in Him absolutely.

God will not ask you to be still if He will not help you, if He will not deliver you, if He will not speak for you and if He will not guide you through the things you are passing though in your life. Your trouble may be very big, but it will not destroy you when God is with you. He will definitely take it away as you follow His word, relied on Him and trust in His ways.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, Even though the earth be removed, And though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling. There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, The holy place of the tabernacle of the Most High. God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God shall help her, just at the break of dawn. The nations raged, the kingdoms were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted. The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Come; behold the works of the Lord, Who has made desolations in the earth. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth;

He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two; He burns the chariot in the fire. Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth. The Lord of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge. Psalm 46:1-11. For prayers, Click here
