GRANT MY EXPECTATIONS OH LORD

Post date: Sep 25, 2013 3:29:10 AM

Better expectations produces better thoughts; better thoughts produces better relationship with men and with God, and better expectations results in an effective and powerful prayer that God in His mercy and love, will not ignore. He searches the heart, the thought and the motives of men in everything. “My son, if your heart is wise, my heart will be glad, even mine; Yes, my heart will rejoice when your lips speak right things. Let not your heart envy sinners, but continue in the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord all the day long. For surely there is a latter end, a future and a reward, and your hope and expectation shall not be cut off. Hear, my son, and be wise, and direct your mind in the way of the Lord.” Proverbs 23:15-19

Always begin your prayer with better expectations each new day and not with bitter reminders of the past or the present. Your expectations should be what lies ahead for you to get to, not what is behind to ponder; it should be what God will say and do to you, not what people will do and say to you; it should be what you will become in His presence, not what you will become in the eyes and presence of men, your numerous admirers and competitors. Your future expectations is what matters to God not your past experiences. Let it be the expectations which filled your heart that your lip verbalizes. Renewed your expectations daily even in difficult situations, renew them and you will see what the Lord will do in due time.

I know it is tough and painful, but by God’s grace, I know you will not remain in this sorrowful situation indefinitely. The Almighty God, our Lord Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit cannot dwell in you and be dormant. Their indwelling, your commitment to prayer and His promises are good enough to bring the expected and the unexpected changes you need. There are expected and unexpected blessings from God and I pray that you will experience both in this life.

The answer that Jabez received was the best of all, not his prayer, but the answer to the prayer is what brings the expected and unexpected blessings. Many people do not know what to pray for and how to pray, but yet they know what they wish for in their individual lives and they know all about their worries. God did not grant the worries or wishes of Jabez, He granted all his prayers. He did not grant the worries and wishes of Hannah, He granted all the prayers of Hannah. He did not promise to grant your wishes, but had promised to grant your prayers. Can you stop wishing and start praying? Can you turn those wishes into prayers? Can you turn the things you worry most into things you pray most? Yes you can. The more you pray, the more you overcome and the more you make advances in your spiritual and physical life. When those wishes and worries in your heart and thoughts are turned into the prayers on your lips and of your heart, God will answer and He will grant them to you.

Though Jabez did not pray for any advantageous position and did not brag about what he will be and do in his prayer, the fact that God granted his request placed him on a more advantageous position in his family and in the society. He automatically became a symbol of good and positive reference to everyone, good and lively hope to the hopeless and those suffering, someone to look up to for direction and counsel, someone to be associated with as a friend and be sort after as a partner. Prayer changes all things, and answers to prayers are the confirmation of the efficacy of praying. The Lord did bless Jabez indeed; He did enlarge his coast as requested, He did guide him with his hand as expected, He did kept him from evil as promised, and He did delivered and keep him from pains as expected. What do you expect if God should answer your prayers now? Jabez prayed His expectations out to God’s hearing, pray yours today. For Prayer Click here
