YOU MAY HAVE CHANGED YOUR MIND, BUT

One of the most unstable part of the human body is the mind; it changes several times each day on almost all issues. It is always affected by emotions, actions of others, failures we experience, disappointments in our lives, and the influence of other things or people upon our lives and upon the things that concern us. The mind is also affected by our successes or failure or difficulties of our family and friends; affected by the words of commendation, or condemnations we receive personally or on our children, spouse, friends, and our children. While God had given us the free will to think on whatever we desire, He requires that we bring our minds and expectations under the control of His word by focusing our thoughts, words, and actions on Him irrespective of what we see, what we hear, what we are told, and what we will ever experience every day. In all issues, we are encouraged thus; “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but be a new and different person with a fresh newness in all you do and think. Then you will learn from your own experience how His ways will really satisfy you.” Romans 12:2. You may have changed your mind on several issues, but God has not changed His mind on you. His plans are still original and His ways are still perfect despite the difficulties you have experienced in keeping them.

But changing your mind on following God’s principles will not benefit you now or in the future; it will not bring you any good and it will not advance you in any way. God is asking us to always seek to obey Him by following His word, keeping His commandments and His precepts because He has not changed, and will not change His plans or words for your life irrespective of the things you experience daily now or in the future.

Over the years, you may have changed your plans, changed your mind, changed your location, change your profession, changed your thoughts, and change your views on a number of things but despite all the changes you have made in your own lives according to your new knowledge, habit, and understanding, God has not changed His plans for your life; He is committed by the bond in His love for you through Christ Jesus on the day of your salvation to implement what He had said, what He had planned, and what He had destined for you before you were conceived in your mothers womb. People may have changed their mind concerning you, they may have in their ways and thoughts abandon you; they may have refused to follow, marry, support or help you; they may have refused to give you any meaningful and life-changing assistance, but despite all their thoughts and changes concerning you, God had not changed His plans, His word, and had not changed His prepared destiny concerning you.

There are many things that make people change their minds, change their views, profession, location, name, and looks, but despite the realities of those things in and around you, God has not changed His mind concerning you now or in the future. God has made you a man or a woman and He has not changed His mind, He has made you tall or short or average and He has not changed His mind. Now and in the future, there is nothing in you and nothing that will ever happen to you that He will make Him change His mind concerning. Whatever is affecting you physically, spiritually, or financially, nothing in, from, or through your family, friends, job, or profession, God will ever make God change His mind or plans or words concerning you. You may have been sent home by your employer, rendered jobless by downsizing, retrenchment, or by any professional mistake willingly or otherwise; you have been rendered homeless by debts, natural or any man-made disasters or accident; you may have been rendered lonely and penniless by over jealous people, haters of that which is good, or evil conspirators in and around you, yet God has not changed His mind or His words. Let there be sea-storms, rainstorms, earthquakes, frightening lightning, and mudslides all over and around you, God has not changed His mind concerning you. He will bless you the very way He has planned. Hold your peace and know that He is alive and He is for you. For prayers, Click here
